Offers for CB4

Post#1 » by w33dies » Sat Jan 24, 2009 5:53 pm

i realize bosh most likely isn't going anywhere. I'm just curious as to what people would consider fair value for him.

Here it is again:
POR/TOR

Aldridge
Fernandez
Rodriguez
Lafrentz

for

Bosh
Ukic

The trade basically boils down to Bosh for Aldridge, Fernandez, and Lafrentz expiring contract which insurance is paying for, plus a Sergio/Ukic swap.

Swap Sergio for Bayless and take on Kapono too somehow, and I'm not hating it.

I doubt a deal around Aldridge and Fernandez would net a superstar level big. Let alone throw in Ukic.

The trade a Tor fan suggested in Tor boards.

Detroit Out: AI/Tay/Amir/Max
Detroit In: JO/CB4/Moon

Why? Detroit gets a top 5 bigman and build around CB4 and Stuckey.

Toronto Out: JO/CB4/Moon
Toronto In: AI/Tay/Amir/Max

Why? Toronto give up CB4 but gets 2 young PF a fantastic all around SF still young with a lot of experience and playing better than ever. and cap for 2009 being able to go after Boozer or Millsap without much competition for them for example to cover CB4 loss.

I love this deal for Toronto and Portland.

BTW, I highly doubt an unprotected 1st slows things down, PDX already looks poised to make the playoffs and barring MAJOR injury they are not going to be lotto after this trade.

Is Portland really gonna let a 20-24th overall pick be a deal breaker?

Depending on the cap, and if they resign or sign other players, getting Boozer and to an extent Milsap will be out of their price range.

The Pistons probably have to take back Kapono instead of moon in vege's deal to get the Raps to even consider it.

Ukic isn't a throw in and he will probably become a good starter by next year, we are depending on him to become good so that Calderon can be expandable for another good player. If you don't want to add a unprotected first rounder the switch Sergio for Bayless and give us a top 14 protected first?

This may be the stupidest post I have seen in a long time. So to not give toronto an unprotected pick which would be in the 20s, they put in bayless and make the pick top 14 protected which would still mean they fork over the pick in the 20s.

First of all I would never do that trade in the first place. You can add 5 unprotected firsts from portland and I wouldn't consider it. With the way they would be after that trade you wouldn't have anything more than 5 late late first rounders. There is a very small chance of getting a good player there. Certainly not enough to justify trading chris bosh.

Basically Brandon Roy is the only player on the blazers I consider for bosh and that is only because he is on his rookie contract.

I don't think TOR would do it, but Barbosa/Amare for Calderon/Bosh?
