O'Neal for O'Neal

Post#1 » by Ray Allen Iverson » Sun May 31, 2009 12:29 pm

Successful Trade Scenario. Trade ID #5093131

The Miami Heat trade: / the Phoenix Suns receive:

Jermaine O'Neal

Why this might work for the Phoenix Suns: Jermaine O'Neal prefers shooting jumpers to banging in the post. He's a better fit alongside Stoudemire and decent defensively in order to provide a decent inside presence.

Steve Nash - Jason Richardson - Matt Barnes - Amare Stoudemire - Jermaine O'Neal
Bench: Leandro Barbosa, Robin Lopez, Goran Dragic, #14 pick

The Miami Heat receive: / the Phoenix Suns trade:

Shaquille O'Neal

Why this might work for the Miami Heat: Shaquille O'Neal is the needed beef in the post to to compliment the faceup players in Haslem and Beasley. His contract expires in 2010 as well.

Mario Chalmers - Dwyane Wade - Michael Beasley - Udonis Haslem - Shaquille O'Neal
Bench: Daequan Cook, James Jones, Mark Blount, Jamaal Magloire, Chris Quinn

No thanks. We got rid of him for a reason.

I am very much against bringing Shaq back. We dealt him because he quit on the team and complained is way out of Miami. I see no need to revisit that...

Phoenix would turn this down quickly as well; Shaq had a good year for them and JO makes just over 2 million more than Shaq does next year which could be a deal breaker for the Suns as well.

Shaq needs to retire w/ the Lakers or Heat
Lakers are 22-3 in OT last 6 seasons:Kobe best OT closer!
