Charlotte/Indiana small trade

Post#1 » by smoothdave1 » Wed Jun 24, 2009 2:46 am

Mohammed & 2nd rd pick for Tinsley

Why for Charlotte? Bobcats have Augustin and Felton who may be resigned or traded elsewhere. Brown likes veterans and Tinsley would be a good player off the bench and provide solid minutes. Mohammed isn't happy in Charlotte and would add depth for the Pacers. Plus, he lives 2hrs south in Louisville during the off-season

Why for Indy? Pacers find a taker for Tinsley and add depth with Mohammed filling in for Rasho and adds a big for the Pacers.

IF Charlotte wants to use Felton as a combo guard, I think Tinsley could get a solid 28 minutes a night or so, maximizing his production and health.

However, in all honesty, take out the 2nd rounder, and it's at least fair value. No need for Charlotte to give up a 2nd in this deal, but it's pretty close in terms of contract value/talent.
