Toronto Brings Tmac Back

Post#1 » by VC+BOSH=Future » Fri Jul 24, 2009 2:45 pm

If they feel he is healthy BC may think this is worth a try, especiallly if Jack can be the starter.

to HOU:
Calderon
Banks
Evans

to TOR:
Tracy McGrady

New Toronto Lineup:

Bargz/Rasho?/OBryant
Bosh/FA?/Jawai?
Hedo/George
McGrady/DeRozan/Wright
Jack/Ukic/Douby
Winning isn’t everything, wanting to is.

I think Tor might do this, and this would be scary for the rest of the eastern conference. That team could do some real damage if healthy.

Hou might be trying to use TMAC to land a starting center, though.

It's tempting from a Raptors standpoint but the "baggage" that comes with T-Mac is enough to scare me off. I'd decline it.

Why would Houston do this? Calderon isn't a huge upgrade over Brooks/Lowry, and Evans and Banks are wasted salary for a team that is deep at PG and PF.

They pass.

Not to mention, brooks and lowry are younger and cheaper than Calderon. this trade also kills the rockets cap room for next season.

Perhaps send Lowry to Toronto as well and a future first for Houston.

Honestly, I think that makes it worse for Houston. Lowry is a nice player.

Both team's pass ... Houston won't touch there 2010 capspace ... Tor wouldn't take the chance on TMAC.

Raptors decline this offer.

Plus, this trade can't even happen for two reasons.

1. Reggie Evans can't be traded WITH another player until a certain date.

2. Toronto is taking back $5,110,332 more in salaries which doesn't work under the CBA since we are like $12M over the cap.

I like Lowry too. After this trade Houston has four point guards though. It doesn't really matter really. Not a great trade for either team to consider.

This really does nothing for Houston, they don't address any of their needs.

As a Raptors fan, i'd take it and run
I'd move jack to the starting PG spot
I know T-Mac might come back in 2010
a core of T-mac (healthy), Hedo, Bosh and Bargs would be sick. I'd dare to say we turn into title contenders.
