Buffery just repeated the GS rumours from this summer. It's like a big game of telephone.

And you know this because?

Incoming Players

Stephen Jackson
6-8 SF / SG from Oak Hill Academy (HS)
20.7 ppg, 5.1 rpg, 6.5 apg in 39.6 minutes

Andris Biedrins
6-11 C from Latvia (Foreign)
11.8 ppg, 11.2 rpg, 2.0 apg in 30.1 minutes

Plus a 1st rounder in 2010

Outgoing Players

Marcus Banks
6-2 PG from UNLV

Chris Bosh

Jose/Jack/Belli/Douby
Jackson/Belli/Weems
Turk/DeRozan/Wright
Bargs/Evans/Johnson
Beans/Rasho/POB

That is a horrible trade.

Because I read the rumours this summer and Buffery's article?

I read those same rumours, how do you know they are not resurfacing because they were actually true at the time and Golden State may be more motivated, due to Jackson's demands, is what I'm asking?

I'd also consider this

Golden State Trade Breakdown
Change in Team Outlook: -12.6 ppg, -6.7 rpg, and +0.7 apg.
Incoming Players

Marcus Banks
6-2 PG from UNLV
2.6 ppg, 0.9 rpg, 1.4 apg in 10.3 minutes

Jose Calderon
6-3 PG from Spain (Foreign)
12.8 ppg, 2.9 rpg, 8.9 apg in 34.3 minutes

Chris Bosh
6-10 PF from Georgia Tech
22.7 ppg, 10.0 rpg, 2.5 apg in 38.0 minutes

Outgoing Players

Stephen Jackson
6-8 SF / SG from Oak Hill Academy (HS)
20.7 ppg, 5.1 rpg, 6.5 apg in 39.6 minutes

Andris Biedrins
6-11 C from Latvia (Foreign)
11.8 ppg, 11.2 rpg, 2.0 apg in 30.1 minutes

Monta Ellis
6-3 PG from Lanier (HS)
18.2 ppg, 4.2 rpg, 3.6 apg in 34.3 minutes

Plus 2010 first rounder. Pretty good deal, imo for José and a one year rental on Bosh.

The day before, Biedrins said that the trade rumors this past summer didn't bother him. But the timeframe was a little blurred in his comments and Buffery is an idiot, or a poor journalist, and took Biedrins comments that were repeated on Hoopshype and turned them into something entirely new, and false.

Buffery has the IQ of a drunken donkey - which he is half the time - so you can see how he could screw this up. I am sure he is going to hear from BC today in terms that will be especially unflattering - the BC we don't see publicly, who wouldn't want to cross.

You take the heart and soul of a truly crappy, dysfunctional team and - and three truly crapped contracts - and want to give them Bosh and Jose? Frankly, i don't know what I can tell you that wouldn't get me suspended, but if I were king, you'd be in the dungeon in chains, and never get out.

Very difficult, imo, to discuss trades here that are not complete steals for us without getting flamed. So, I kind of expect that reaction. I feel GSW's issues are the management not the players. I think Ellis would be exiting, I think S-Jax is a solid player, and Beans knows his role and does it pretty well.

I can't see BC trading Bosh unless he's getting a better player in return before the season ... As long as this team is over .500 , I'd expect Bosh to be on the team for the entire year.

Of course, I've thrown this trade out there but I'd do a SJax + CJ Watson for Jose + Weems deal :d

I like Amir Johnson more than I like Beans, I like Jack more than I like Jax and I like DD more than I like Ellis so I say no to your trades because we already have players here who fit better.

And we have BC as the GM so you gotta tip the scales with more talent coming to the Raps in any trades :)

This team should want nothing to do either Jax or Ellis, both complete headcases and cancers - and we have someone offering up the core of our team for them? That seriously has to be the WORST trade idea I've read on this board in ages, and that's saying a lot. :noway:

Some folks are in for a shock if and when either of these two jokers get dealt, there is some extreme overvaluing happening around here. I know there are some pretty stupid GM's that have made pretty stupid deals in recent times but there is no way GS is going to be listening to any offers that are even half of what was just tossed out above. That's got nothing to do with flaming trade proposals that aren't lopsided in our favor, and everything to do with not shooting ourselves in the head.

Come on man, at least dont you want to see how it works out with Turk before making some ridiculous proposal? How do you know that Turk is not going to workout? Sure, Jackson is a good lockdown defender but we needed a player maker and Turk is much better at making his teammates better.

Hold on to this proposal atleast till December or so...

I wouldn't do the trade, I do think they're pretty equal as players but on one hand Turkoglu just signed a big deal while Jackson is trying to get out... we don't need to give them Turkoglu, send them some expirings if they're interested
