TOR/BOS Simple Swap

Post#1 » by jalenrose#5 » Sun Jan 3, 2010 3:25 am

Toronto Trades:

PG Marcus Banks
Future Second Round Pick 2011

Boston Trades:

SF/PF Brian Scalabrine
SF Bill Walker

Why for BOS?

With the injury to Rondo, and really a lack of a backup point guard, I think Banks' game may fit in well with the Celts. He's a ball hawk of defence and can create for his teammates. He's a team player and would provide the Celts with a veteran backup point so House can play off the ball more.

Rondo/Banks/Hudson
Allen/House/Allen
Pierce/Daniels/Giddens
Garnett/Davis/Williams
Perkins/Wallace

Why for Toronto?

Simple, taking out a contract to get more cap space this year. Also acquiring Bill Walker is just another young guy they can stash away in the D-league. Again, it's a low risk pickup just to make salaries match.

Jack/Calderon
DeRozan/Belinelli/Walker
Turkoglu/Weems/Wright
Bosh/Evans/Scalabrine/Pops
Bargnani/Johnson/Rasho

Banks is terrible, we know, we drafted him. Celtics certainly won`t pay 10 million (with tax) next season for a guy who wouldn`t even play...
