John Salmons

Post#1 » by Kyben36 » Thu Jan 14, 2010 8:56 pm

HE isnt working out as the bulls SG, He has been playing better lately, but just isnt working out for the bulls, he will likely be moved come trade deadline, and the bulls will look for expirings, because he may opt in to his final year, and prevent the bulls from getting a max contract. ( depending on the 2010 cap )

The bulls will likely be looking for, as as said an expiring,
Preferably, a SG, ( not required )
Preferably, a 3pt shooter (not required )

either that, or a larger deal to get us a big time PF or SG.

so is any team interested in JOhn

also, he is making $5,456,000 This year and $5,808,000 option next year

Amir + Wright for Salmons.

I dont think BC does it because of what Salmons does but we would be a good stopgap SG for us.

Jack/Calderon/Banks
Salmons/Belinelli
Hedo/Derozan/Weems
Bosh/Evans
Bargnani/Rasho/O'Byrant

2 expiring vets that help now. A young big to add to the Scottie timeline
I'd prefer to keep Stew and give Monte Morris
I'd really prefer to keep Morris and Stew and give the great Killian Hayes and 2nd round picks

The Grizz would love to get John Salmons to come off the bench.

Steven Hunter + Marcus Williams for John Salmons

Instant savings this year and both contracts expires this summer.

The Cavs would be all over this.

Expirings only: would Wally's ghost do? Sign and Trade for a three year deal with only this year being guaranteed? Would a pick need to be added?

I squandered an asset? Then Hammond taught me well.

Say what? Salmons is making $6,421,151 this year.

I hope you are using reputable salary sources like the ones below:

Hello no. Salmons had a TK that raised his contract 15%. Hoopshype is crap. As a Bulls fan, why you don't use Sham's site is beyond me.

I like Sham too, but it's blocked by my work - I think they think it's an adult site.

Anyway...

Adam Morrison and pick for Salmons.
Chi gets expiring and choice of 2010 2nd or 2012 first.
LA gets a much needed wing backup with Kobe and Artest falling apart at the seams.
LA willing to take on Salmons next season salary - we all know he is not opting out.

What about something like..

Cleveland sends Washington- Szczerbiak(S&T 1 year guaranteed 2nd/3rd year team option), Darnell Jackson, Cash, and a future 2nd rounder.

Washington sends Chicago- Randy Foye, Fabricio Oberto

Chicago sends Cleveland -Salmons.
