On another note, Terry has declined in his PNR ballhandler efficiency compared to his time with Charlotte this season.

In 30 games with Charlotte, Terry was generating 1.11 PPP on 7.6 possessions per game as a pick and roll ballhandler (a number that was one of the best in league). In 27 games with Miami he is generating 0.88 PPP on 5 possessions per game as a pick and roll ballhandler.

Can we chalk it up to transition period with new scheme, new personnel, and less consistent usage? TBD. I'd be interested to know if he's trending up in that regard with his more positive play recently.

The box score statistics look good but these are also the same statistics that fool some of you with Herro, we need better scoring efficiency from Terry, 2 Herros is no good for winning games.

Those two players have too much overlap on the scoring front in efficiency. One or the other, but both cannot be on this team next year, I hope that is brewing in the FO cup at the moment. There are some positions of need that could be filled with 30M shooting guard going out in a trade. At this point I am done waiting for him to get his value up, were here every year waiting for this mythical non injury season that has great analytic efficiency numbers for us to sell high on. They are not coming, and its obvious it gets worse from here on out, sell low or sell later even lower.

The amount of egg on this front office face if they have to add assets to trade him vs saying something like we owe it to the team to bring it back.

Just looked at the schedule all the teams except for one are playing for playoff positions down the stretch. No team will be taking it easy. Miami Heat playoffs start tomorrow

I'm not concerned about how the rest of the schedule will shape up. Recall how last year ended with a 6-4 record, yet we still managed to make the play-ins only to have the Hawks dominate us on our own court. With this team, anything can happen. Despite that, I'm inclined to give Jimmy and Spo the benefit of the doubt, trusting that they can flick the switch when needed.

The Heat should try to position themselves to face Cleveland who is the easiest team in the top 6 for them to beat,

Jimmy should’ve played harder if we wanted that

Is Rudy having that great of a defensive year that he smokes Bam and all the rest of the candidates?

Bam is the best defensive player. Has been. NBA awards dont reflect reality.

I know he's amazing, just trying not to be homer and give the devil his due. Gotta look into what kind of season Gobert is having.

No lol and he has other stud defenders with with him as well and the dude literally gets played off the floor in the playoffs because of BAD DEFENSE and he still somehow has the media fooled. It’s really baffling to me

I know it doesn't really equate for the seasonal DPOY award, but some fun facts on Gobert:

- In his 10 year career (this is his 11th season), he's only made it past the 1st round of the playoffs 3 times. He's never made it past the 2nd round.
- Last season, despite having the best DRTG for MIN throughout the regular season, he had the 5th best DRTG on his own team in the playoffs
- Basically every time Gobert has been in the playoffs his DRTG has been substantially worse than his regular season metrics.

Gobert is a great defender, but he's largely a regular season phenomena that doesn't translate to the ramped up gameplanning and intensity of playing every inch of the court in the playoffs.

Sad that it will barely matter for legacy awards.

You literally just have to go small and run Gobert off the court and spam 3s and it’s over, you will never see Bam played off the court period but especially for defense lmao but this will be like 4 or 5 DPOYs for Gobert now

Id say Bam should probably be winning his 3rd DPOY this year. Consistency typically isnt rewarded. The best story is.
