If Mike Miller doesn't come he better have signed a contract that pays at least $15 million a year so I dont feel so bad.

But there is always that remote slim to none chance he doesn't. Is there any reason for the hold up? Besides thinking things through.

To be honest he should of already signed with a team way before the Heat offered a contract. He stood up the Lakers and now hes Dickin around with us and it's kinda tickin me off, does this guy even want to play anymore?? What the hell is his deal??

Just a guess, Miller is seeing what MIA's checkbook will say at the end. Why commit before knowing what's exactly left?

I want Miller on this team and I am sure he will end up here because the PR hit he would take from Lebron, UD and Wade would be serious as those are his close friends. I have no problem with whatever decision a player makes as far as picking a team for money vs winning; but I do have a problem if a guy and his agent come to an agreement and then back out....really bad karma...Look at the season Turkulue had as a prime example....

Dude's a douche. He's been telling his hometown paper for three seasons he wanted to be a Laker, and had made it known during his trips to LA. So when the Lakers offer him $30M, he rejects it. Now he's playing this game with you guys.

James Jones would be good. Miller can go sign with a scrub team for more money idc.

If Miller backs out on us, IMO we should use the money meant for him on Matt Barnes (Back-up SF) + Raja Bell (Back-up SG). IF possible. I don't think either guy should get all his money, but at least use part of it on one of them if we cant get both.

Miller will be with you guys I think this is all bluff.

Realistically what is his best alternative to going to Miami if he rejects the offer - the Knicks?

LA offer is off the table now I don't see many (any) better options for him unless the Lakers come back into the picture...

Guys chill. Miller's agent said he is signing with the Miami Heat. He is signing with the Miami Heat. The guy wants to win a championship, he's been playing on scrub teams most of his career. He hasnt signed yet because he is busy doing stuff with his charity. Haslem hasnt signed yet either because he is with Miller doing his charity stuff with him. When they come back to Miami, they will sign. Its as simple as that.

Yeah, Barnes and Raja as a package>Miller, these guys defense overcome Millers shooting. Though we could probably have Raja and still have Miller, right?
Really, am just a bit pissed, if we get taken for a ride, because we could of used that money on other guys that are already taken, but Miller is easily replaceable. Maybe not his pure shooting, but you get a descent shooter, with better defense, you basically won't miss him much.

Agreed. Mike Miller is good, but we can live without him IMO. I will boo him if he pulls a Hedo on us.

Raja Bell has traveled to Los Angeles this week to meet with Kobe Bryant about the possibility of joining the Lakers.

NBA front-office sources say that Bell continues to draw interest from a variety of playoff teams, such as Miami, Dallas and San Antonio. One source said signing with the Heat has essentially been ruled out because of Miami's financial constraints after signing LeBron James, Chris Bosh and Mike Miller.

It sounds like we can't have both Miller and Bell. But I also don't think the Lakers have a lot more money than us. Not to mention the tax situation favors us/it's his home state. No idea why we would be ruled out.

Return to Miami Heat
