Juice Skolnick was just a guest on The Ticket. He mentioned there was some belief Oden’s drinking issues may have surfaced again this season, which possibly had the organization concerned.

Greg Oden now faces felony charge, too

NBA free agent Greg Oden is now facing a felony charge after police said he attacked his former girlfriend after a night of drinking.

Court documents filed today say the 7-foot-tall, 285-pound Oden is accused of punching Christina Green in the face three times and fracturing a bone in her nose.

His mother, awoken by the commotion, had to pull the former No. 1 draft pick off his bloodied former girlfriend to bring the incident to an end, documents state.

Oden, 26, was charged today in Marion Superior Court with one count of battery resulting in serious bodily injury, a Level 5 felony, as well as misdemeanor charges of domestic battery and battery resulting in bodily injury.

His felony offense carries a penalty of one to six years behind bars...

In the case of Birdman, he was alleged as a pedophile, and it turned out to be an elaborate catfishing, and we are reaping the benefits of supporting an "innocent until proven guilty" man with his production and loyalty now. If Oden was alleged for physical abuse but not proven, I wouldn't call off our support, but this sounds cut and dry, so as I said before, good riddance if that is the case. I just hope that if this was Wade or Bosh (not that I think they would), I would still feel the same way too.

I was pulling pretty hard for him to contribute this year in roughly 15 minutes a game. I wanted him to succeed with us. It would have been a great story. He seemed to be doing better and always had a good attitude.

This report is 180 degrees from what I was expecting. Unbelievable. Sad. Disappointing.

i used to cheer for this guy but after this i have no sympathy. He had troubles in life but he had the chance to do right a second chance. 99% of people never got that.

Well when the police got there, the girl lied and said he didnt hit her. Then when they spoke to him, he told the truth and confused. This is not about being proven, he told on himself.

I saw him at club space a few weekends ago. I really wish it worked out with him and he was able to contribute for 15-20min a game.
