Didn't even know Beal was a Gator until this thread, shows how little I follow college hoops. Now I have to hate him for being a jorts wearing douchebag.

The two players that I would like to see joining the Miami Heat are Anthony Davis and Kevin Durant. On the year 2016 Anthony Davis will become a restricted free agent. It truly is complicated because he will be offered a maximum contract with the New Orleans Pelicans. To make this acquisition Miami will have to offer in return someone like Greg Monroe (at least). Also, Davis has to demand this in order to get it done. It is complicated. Assuming this pipe dream comes to pass, to have Anthony Davis (age 21), Chris Bosh (age 30) and Kevin Durant (age 26) playing together is almost unreal. Just the size, speed, all around game, youth, experience, muscle force, and the basketball IQ among them will be something to remember for decades to come. And even, at the age of 38, this three players will be among the best of the league. But this is not all. The Miami Heat will be able to keep D. Wade (age 32) as well and probably they will have the salary space to bring a decent Point Guard. All of this without sacrificing the depth of our bench players. By the way, players like Shabazz Napier (age 23) and James Ennis (age 24) will have a more polish game. And I can see Josh Mcroberts (age 27) becoming an even better player. On top of this, lets not forget the draft picks. Yes, starting on the year 2017 (I believe) we will start using our own draft picks. The future ahead of us is very bright.

Durant, Drummond, Davis? You guys are not being realistic. This is not fantasy basketball. You are thinking of these players only from the Heat's perspective. It is not that easy to put together a 2k15 dream team lineup. Their own teams hold a lot of leverage and they will max all those players out.

If we get at least one of those three, I might consider tattooing Pat Riley's face all over my back.

Well, back then I didn't think it was a long shot to land either Bosh or James because Wade was the (second) best player in the league. Didn't expect to get both, but wasn't surprised enough to go around getting tattoos.

Our cap flexibility for that great class of free agents is great, but we should also hope our young guys like Shabazz and Ennis turn out to be very good players. A team that's in a great city and has cap space doesn't always cash in (the Lakers this past summer.) How our roster looks will be huge. Bosh at a good contract pre-tv deal, Wade, and if those young guys turn out to be pretty good, we would no doubt be one of the top players in free agency.

Anthony Davis will never see the market. He'll be locked up to a max contract extension as soon he's eligible (next summer).

A player's free agency to watch is Greg Monroe. He's set to be an unrestricted free agent next summer after signing for his qualifying offer this past summer with the Pistons. Very rare does a mobile, athletic 24 year big men hit the unrestricted market, and he would be excellent fit to pair with Bosh as a Center. If the cap jumps to 70 millionish next year(with the 'smoothing' of the new TV rights deal coming into play), there's a possibility we can create quite a bit of flexibility if Luol Deng opts out for more security(should he have an injury free year), and we can trade off what would be Chalmers/Granger's expiring contracts. Monroe would probably only want a one year deal, so he can cash in on the huge cap jump in 2016.

I like monroe but theres just one thing..he might be one of the worst defenders in his position..

He's not without flaws, but he's good enough at other things that he should still be highly coveted. And similar to Bosh, he'll become a plus defender playing under our culture. He'll likely improve under Stan this year.

One thing that isn't being mentioned, is that most teams will have some sort of cap space. With the cap going up and most teams right around the salary cap, a lot of players are going to get OVERPAYED! Chalmers could be looking at 10 mil per year LOL!

Don't want Dwight, he is someone I just cannot stand. Wouldn't go to a heat game til he leaves.

Gasol bosh Durant. Do it.

LOL so a lot of big names are being thrown around and the name Im gonna throw out there is a let down compared to them. Robin Lopez is a free agent and I loved seeing what he did as a role player alongside Lamarcus. I think we can see bosh get the same boost in production if we get a guy like Lopez who won't be max contract and give the size we need in the middle. He's a free agent in 2015 and several of their starters contracts end soon so they may not break the bank for him.
