PG: Team Norris Cole Kills Beats Hero Ball Heat (Updated First Post)

So many people being defensive. Doesn't take away we lost a game we should have won. No one should be free from criticism when they deserve it.

And no it wasn't just Wade, Birdman was probably the worse guy on the floor letting Ajinca go off. Defense is still bad, need to get back to what it was a few weeks ago when Hassan was unleash on that West coast trip

I think we all know Wade will bounce back sooner rather than later and come through when we need him most. That being said, we do want to vent and point fingers from time to time. We're human.

It ain't just this game; Wade hasn't had a good game since the Bulls game. That was literally over a month ago. He is struggling badly to get in rhythm and it's really affecting us in this critical time. I love Wade but he needs to step up and be the leader on BOTH ends of the court. Sometimes, the excuses fall short in what the team needs right now.

I had work really early in the morning, so I couldn't catch the game.

1. Why did we lose?

2. What set did we run in the last two possesions? Wade ISO long jumpers?

3. How did Beasley look overall? Any major defensive lapses?

After some heroics from the last game threads winning power, the Miami Heat came back and kicked Team DisneyWorld's Butt, freeing all the Floridians from the evil witch's spell turning them into loud and proud Heat fans. Now the Heat are back on the Road and taking their talents to Crayfish County (cool plug - I actually worked on Louisiana Crayfish last semester and discovered a brand new gene that regulated ammonia transfer in the gills) and battling the Norris Cole Jambalaya.. Pelicans. The last time these two ball clubs met the Pelicans lost AD and Ryan Anderson in the same game, luckily for them the Heat had traded future allstar and MVP Norris Cole who bailed them out. In less then a week out the Heat are coming back for some sweet and juicy tenderloin chicken.. I mean revenge. Will Antonio Walker and the the crew be able to overcome the odds?? FIND OUT FRIDAY at 8:00pm EST!!!


Keys to victory???
- Buy a goat and sacrifice it.
- Combat their fried chicken with Korean BBQ.
- Lock Norris Cole inside a closet before the game
- Zohran needs to get back to being efficent
- Wade needs to eat a snickers.
- Spo should just go with Norris Cole in the closet
- Antonio Walker needs to buy back his championship ring.. he looks a bit different without it.

It ain't just this game; Wade hasn't had a good game since the Bulls game. That was literally over a month ago. He is struggling badly to get in rhythm and it's really affecting us in this critical time. I love Wade but he needs to step up and be the leader on BOTH ends of the court. I just read a stat that since the start of the year he has shot 40%. Before it was 51%. Wade has been struggling even before the break. He had been off I guess with his hamstring but yeah, the time is to step up now, especially when everyone else played well.

Also I just realize we didn't have a time out left due to Wade dribbling the ball out of nowhere when we could have used that time out when Pelicans gave us back the ball lol. He needs to start redeeming himself again, he has not looked good on both ends.

i will show you our 2 last possessions !

Pick and roll between Wade and Whiteside, good timing but Whiteside got blocked ( a great one to be honest)
The pass was too high, this time Asik remained with Whiteside instead of trying to set a double team on Wade



That action didnt work at that time but they did it 2 possessions before and it worked very well as you can see below.
It worked because :

- Pelicans were playing small ball so other than Asik no one would have been able to block Whiteside !
- Asik was late because that play was executed with a perfect timing by Wade and Whiteside, Asik was surprised and was too high on that play







The last action, Wade asked for a pick and roll to face Cole, it would have been a great move if Dragic was handling the ball while Wade was heading to the rim/post so he can have the edge on Cole down low but not at the 3 point line. If i was a coach, i will always live with Wade taking that 3, no matter if he made it or not.
So his crossover didnt work AGAIN (2 possession before, he dribbled on his feet against Pondexter...)

weak individual/pick n roll defense all game long. Whiteside on the no man's land all game long.

Wade and Whiteside pick and roll. It worked first time but Aisk blocked the shot. Second time Wade couldn't find him so he resorted to the hero 3. Wade and Whiteside did convert the same play with Whiteside's dunk late in the game, so it was the best option I believe.

3. How did Beasley look overall? Any major defensive lapses?
he looked pretty much like Beasley we know. aggressive on offense, some ill-advised attacks to the rim, sweet jumpers. not sure about defense.. probably not that great.

Thanks Iggie and Maroko. Damn, if only Hassan pump faked that... On the other hand, I too would go for the quick dunk if I was him since he probably didn't know Asik was behind him. Oh well, on to the next one.
