I am so not a fan of KD coming, but to be honest I wasn't a fan of Lebron coming either

Ethan Skolnick on 790:

"the Heat are going to operate this off-season as if Bosh is not returning . . . they're going to have to build a team in which he does not exist, for the moment, and then figure out how to make it work if he comes back."

Very sad for Bosh. Hope he can become a part of coaching staff if true, he's a smart guy.

This changes a lot. Chris's contract won't come of the books until allstar break 2017, but we now have to keep Deng and Whiteside this summer. Both become a must. JJ might be squeezed out unless he plays for cheap. Winslow might be a starter sooner rather then later, he better work on his jumper every day this summer.

Looking at the numbers again, we're in a tough spot. Ideal summer, and that's talking dream sacnrio - we can keep Wade/White/Deng/JJ. But it's going to be very tough.

More realistically, we'll lose JJ to a higher offer by a chit team. we're basically on hold until Bosh's contract comes off the books. Which mean roster to start next year will likely be :

Dragon/TJ/Weber
Wade/Rich
Winslow/?
Deng/?
Whiteside/?

WE could use the disable player exception, which is around MLE money, can't net great players with that but maybe a solid one if lucky.

In 2018 we'll have a lot of cap space, but we're in a tough spot next year.

We have $41mill in cap space

Hassan $20mill base
Deng 3yr $30mill base $9mill
Wade base $12mill?

Andy will figure something out. Whatever pay cuts Deng and Hassan take we can give to Wade. He deserves at least 3yr $45mill.

We'll see what they do.

One things is for sure - if we didn't have Justise/Rich/TJ making peanuts - we'd be royally screwed.

We'll need them to really improve, especially Justise if JJ is gone.

We have a proven track record and guys love playing here. Andy will break down for them how we can keep the team in tact.

I mean we got uncle Beno to give up nearly 100k just cause we asked nicely. Lol

CB's contract is what's killing us. We struggled to justify him making $24mill on a good day but as things currently are we're spending $24mill and getting zero production in return.

That money could be thrown at Durant or Batum or Barnes or Fornier.

There's only so much you can ask them to sacrifice.

Best case scenario is we keep everyone. there's no way to add high quality free agents. no way. Best we could use on a free agent would be the disabled player exception. And JJ is probably the most likely candidate for that money if he accepts it.

Good thing Durant and every great free agent is going to ask for 1+1 this summer.

Need to re-analyze 2018 free agents list. That's our new target. This summer is all about keeping Wade+Deng+Whiteside and maybe JJ too.

Oh my god, if he goes missing is there some type of exception that we could use? :)

Like he literally disappears and is never heard from again... would he still be using up our cap? :D

Lance Stephenson is better than McBob Bish. You don't understand my disdain for that POS. :nonono:

Unless we dump McSob they'll all have to sacrifice a little just to fit in Wade, Deng, and Hassan. Wasn't even thinking about JJ or anyone else.

Can't afford him, better hope we can get a second round pick for him or at least dump him for cap space.

Best options for 2017-2018 season if Bosh retires :

1.Kevin Durant (assuming he gets a 1+1 contract this summer and becomes free agents again in 2017-2018, which is expected)
2.Gordon Hayward
3.Chandler Parsons

LBJ - ain't coming back
Danilo Gallinari - too many injuries

I'm looking at unrestricted free agents that are wings because Dragon/Whiteside/Deng are in prime players, While Wade will be way post prime by then and Justise will still be very young and might not reach his prime yet.
