McRoberts & #14 to ORL for #25, #33, & #35.

Salary of #25 is guaranteed, but 2nd round picks only count as minimum deals. We can still use part of the MLE to sign them.

We could draft Oyeleye (if he's still available) or Swanigan and then pick up Bell and Thornwell.

Bold, but I like it GOM. Slick dumping McRoberts is the best part lol

I haven't seen a draft where bottom lottery and non-lottery picks are so fluid all over the place like this year. Having 3 picks in that range would not be a bad gamble at all considering #14 is in somewhat of a crapshoot range anyway.

His $7M is money that we cannot pay other players. However this works out, I trust the Heat to make the best move. If it means drafting Leaf or Mitchell at #14, I won't be upset. All I want next year is to make the playoffs and deny Phoenix a lottery pick.

My "Other" vote is Donovan Mitchell now. ;-)

6-1 (without shoes), with a 6-10 wingspan and 36" vertical. He's only a 35% shooter from the 3. I like his defense, Iggie.

We will leave tomorrow's draft with either Markannen or Mitchell. That's a Rafly guarantee.

Getting ready for a sleepless night, with following the draft in Europe, and a non productive day after the draft

Good job good effort GOM.

I can see us trading down to earn multiple picks, a lot of same tier guys floating around past the top 9 or so.

Good morning fam draft day is here. One thing that the Heat have manage to do, is keep a lot of mystery on what their draft plans are. With the Help of the top 6 teams all involved in blockbuster trade rumors getting all the attention. So much attention that big name like Dwight Howard was traded without any rumor. I believe the Heat are waiting to see what falls to them, before they decide to make any type of roster moves. I would keep an eye on Sacramento, who may draft another big, as a team who could be a trading partner with the Heat. Charlotte as well could be a trading partner, who also have a platoon of bigs.

I watch you sensible guys go all draft crazy every year

pick 14 is most likely a bust. Certainly unlikely to be anything more than an end of bench player in a couple of years.

Trade the pick, Riley.

Do what you understand.

Waste of time.

We have more hope getting a decent undrafted or Dleague guy than doing anything much with a couple of outside top 6 picks.

Just a few tidbits from those who might've missed Barry Jackson's column yesterday:

John Collins: The Heat liked his workout last week, but a Western Conference official mentioned an issue that concerns some teams. (That issue is not performance, not legal and not character related. Character is not an issue).

Hmm, so if the issue is neither of those things...then it must be medical right? Interesting.

Justin Patton: Diverse skills but didn’t help himself in his Heat workout.

So it looks like Patton TANKED his Heat workout. That sucks.

I have a feeling we're gonna pick a guard. I can smell it

(Mitchell or Kennard will do for me)

if we take a guard that might indicate that dion is gone, or we are moving tj. otherwise i would like to see us take a stretch 4 guy

if we do a trade, we could be picking for someone else

83,89,96,88. So over 20 years ago. The NBA has changed so much since then.

And in the recent group there isn't one that I'd not give up as part of a year rental (and perhaps more) for PG.

You're preaching to the choir, HIF, except I'd trade down for lower-tier talent to develop like Swanigan and Thornbull instead of dealing the pick for a veteran. As I said before, we're not a contender. We should lower our expectations. Make the playoffs, pay the Suns a higher pick, and go forward.
