What do you think of Kevin McCullar? To my uneducated eyes he looks a bit like JJJ and Butler being able to play in traffic some. Do you think he will continue to be able to draw fouls in the NBA?

I havent kept up with any wings. Ive been focusing solely on bigs who can cover lots of ground on D and shoot well on O and point guards.

Heres a fun comp though:

Spurs have the Raptors pick which is currently lottery. Tank has them drafting Alex Sarr and Tyrese Proctor. Good grief man. That rebuild would be over with the foundation set.

I'm falling for Dillingham. That type of skillset would be an amazing boost to our offense. He's currently projected to us by tankathon. If he keeps this up, he'll likely go lottery.

I've watched him a bit more since you mentioned him. He isn't afraid to draw contact. I think that mindset will keep him active at the FT line. His FTA rate is very solid.

I wonder if he could be placed at the point...? He's got decent passing chops. He runs the offense well enough. I think his size and defensive mentality would be a big boon there.

watched most of the YouTube stuff on him, He was a point forward at TT before transferring to Kansas. It appears he had a late growth spurt too. Seems he was last measured at in HS at 6-5.5 but is more recently referred to as 6-6 or 6-7 depending on the source.

several scouting reports (for whatever those are worth) list him as maybe the best defender in the draft, that is projected to be able to guard 1-4 in the NBA, but only a complimentary scorer...not someone who can create his own shot in the NBA.

I don't think any of the reports really give him credit for his ability to get to the Free Throw line

No way he can keep it up. Hes riding a hot streak. If he does manage to keep it up, then hes a top 10 pick.

Ended up watching a lot of Reed Sheppard videos last night. This might just be our guy.

Like Jaquez, he doesn't shrink in the moment. He has a grown man's game. He's very smart. His shooting is top tier. He moves the ball around so well, and takes his time to make the right play, get the right shot. I felt like I was watching Stockton at times. High IQ.

Look at what he's done this year so far:

https://www.sports-reference.com/cbb/players/reed-sheppard-2.html

He has 17 steals in 5 games. He has very active hands.

He plays again at 4 pm I think.

Sheppard averaging a combined 11 rebounds/assists and 6 blocks/steals per 36.

O rating is 150. D rating is 80. Lmao.

McCullar seems to have flipped a switch and is scoring with ease these days...think he is up to 5 20+ point games out of the last 9...even dropping 3 with ease these days...

if this post is a bit spammy DOM lemme know ill edit it

Tanks mock is not pretty right now. That top 5 is pretty bad. Holland is not a 1st overall pick.

This upcoming draft is not have a very good top ten prospect with upside. However they look to have very good solid rotation guys between 11-30.

I like Sarr a lot. Id love him on the Heat. Finally give hip contusion boy some help. Save him from further hip contusions.

I also like the depth of this draft. A top ten is a curse for the wrong teams. Several of those guys have glaring deficiencies. Once you get outside the "hype" guys, the draft gets very interesting. A good year to have the 15th pick.

McCullar had 40 points in the last 2 games with 20 FTA.... for a dude that is viewed as a late first/early second round guy...wonder if we could get our guy and still pick this dude up. I think that makes it 20 points in 9 out of his 11 games.

Bad news his shooting percentage has dropped to .49 and .38 from 3.

Return to Miami Heat
