Crazy talk… I did not see the game, but based on all the posts in here, he played like straight dog ish… and yet he had the highest +/- on the team by a large margin at 25! :o

Dude , even on a turd night is impacting winning.

P.S. Congrats… I carried my first born as a newborn baby (May baby) during the first big 3 playoff championship run! Hope yours brings us luck as well! You must name the baby after whoever is our Finals MVP if so!

They were stuck to him like glue which opens up a lot of things in itself and he was making great reads majority of the night.

Haha I can do that, baby Cole on the way!!

Wright / Rozier
Herro / Robinson
Butler / Jaquez
Jovic / Caleb
Bam / Love

JRich and Highsmith might be out of rotation once playoff starts.

The Jovic/Highsmith is intriguing. But I'm rooting for Jovic to take the starting spot since our ceiling is much higher with him.

Generally with you on this. My hope is Jovic continues to cut his teeth rest of season and earn a spot in playoff rotation--even if he is just getting the equivalent of the early minutes that Meyers Leonard got with a reduced role during the bubble playoffs.

The reality is that whether it is Jovic or Highsmith in the PF rotation may be wholly matchup dependent.

Anyone that tries to claim Sabonis is on Bam's level is clearly a box score watcher that doesn't value what actually wins in this league. Miami's offensive focus was literally trying to get Sabonis in as much action on defense as possible. He was a target all night. To be honest, he should have been close to fouling out if the refs kept the whistle 100.

With all that said, as long as people can recognize how Bam is a clear tier above Sabonis, I think I'm ready to start appreciating Sabonis' value. Because offensively, his value as a hub that screens, playmakes, and connects the entire offense is exactly what makes Bam so valuable offensively despite not being the prototype top scoring threat. I'm OK to appreciate that because it is a rarity to have your center do SO much for an offense. It's valuable for an offense. Bam and Sabonis are very similar schematically in that regard (while each having their own strengths and scheme roles).

Bam just so happens to ALSO be the best defender in the world (and his style is tailor made for postseason play) whereas Sabonis is a limited defender that can't even fit well with most potential frontcourt partners that would help him on defense (and is particularly vulnerable in a playoff setting).

Crazy to think that if we didn't go on that 7 game losing streak we'd be in contention for 2nd. Even if we went a measly 3-4 during that stretch we'd be sitting pretty at 35-22, 1 game behind 3rd and 3 games behind 2nd.

I literally said the same thing the other day lol just go a very mediocre 3-4 and we’re fighting for the 2 seed. Makes me sick

Great win for us!!! Proud of the way the young guys stepped up and held down the fort.

Takeaways:
1. JJJ's footwork and post game are mighty impressive for a rookie.
2. The Delon Wright pickup was a great signing. We needed another ballhandler that's not turnover prone
3. K. Love still has some juice left in the tank. He came up big when we needed a spark

The secret sauce with K Love is keeping him right around that 15-20 mpg range. He needs that to maximize his impact while keeping enough fuel in the tank for the long stretch.

Interestingly, with Miami being so shorthanded last night I was wondering if Spo was going to push Love into the 20+ minute range, especially after the 3rd Q stretch was so impactful (which first got going with Love and Bam on the floor together). But, nope Spo still adhered to the 15 mpg Love rule.

+8 or 9 is patented Delon. Get used to it.

I can’t overstate how exceptional it is for him to have a career +/- of +411 on mostly crap teams. He has the BBIQ of a 50 year old.

I thought it would take at least a few games for Spo to gush over him but no

And somebody explain to me how I’m 19 years older than Juan Wick yet he’s my biological pop?

It’s gonna be a fun ride watching him grow up and get old in the Heat org. Zo gonna tap Duncan as the shooting coach, Kevin the GM, and Jaime assistant GM. Kyle will come back and coach in some capacity. Jimmy just gonna have his own luxury box acting a fool running back and forth to the bench

It sucked to lose 7 in a row, but maybe it was necessary to build the team. We'll learn more in Denver

You just jinxed it. Now we're gonna lose a close game against a depleted Portland team
