What's sad is that this was somewhat expected, in 2 games vs Philly this season he scored 22.5 points on 24 shot attempts, he only attempted 3 more than that average. He didn't play in any Chicago games so who know what'll happen. If Butler doesn't play, I could see him dropping 30 on 35 shots.

I don't think he was gunning in the sense of taking bad shots. Majority of them were good shots that I'm assuming the team WANTS him to take, he just had an off night. It would've been much worse if he went into a shell and stopped shooting. At least he had the balls to go out guns blazing.

He actually seemed to do a pretty good job of finding teammates as well, as evidenced by the 9 assists. You're making it seem like he was out there chucking awful shot after shot, in which case I'm sure he would've gotten benched.

Exactly this^, all of it!

Well, that's odd, because NBA.com says that 15 of Herro's shots were with tight or better defense. Also, only 7 of his 27 shots had 7 or less seconds left on the shot clock where there was time to still look for a better shot.

We’ve played better basketball without Jimmy this year I’m just saying

It’s time to green light early shot clock 3s and hoist and pray. It can work

This is a terrible contention, because look at how many assist we average as a team on most game nights, and look at the assist from the team overall last night. That's right you'll see that those 9 assist you cling to as a means to explain he was including his team mates in the execution mean nothing because the entire offense was funneled through him last night on every possession, he could have had a 15-20 assist last night had he passed the ball after the initial screen. There were 2 shots he took last night that were grenades given to him at the last minute, so I will exclude those, I will also exclude the bunnies he missed at the rim, since he had an open lane and drove in but couldn't convert over the taller, bigger defender. What I will not exclude are the 20+ deep off balance jumpers and 3pt's shots coming off a screen hoping to ignite himself, there were many in-fact close to 70% of his shot diet were those, and he was not converting. We would never know if the other guys would have made something out of nothing, even Bam could have gotten a foul call here and there or gotten hot from mid range but the ball never came back out once he turn from the screen. He tried to shot himself out of a cold streak, I call it what it is, he had an opportunity to win and end up with even more assist. The reason he doesn't get benched in a clinching game, is because there's nobody left to replace the only other viable ball handler, Spo has no other go to with Jimmy down, and putting the ball in a player making minimum money is not why you pay Herro 30M a year.

The Point Herro experiment is not compatible with playoff level bball. We struggled to get into a set or even cross half court throughout the game.

Wasting your breath like I waste mine, Herro stans are the excuse patrol of the century for this team. I will be happy once he is off this team.

Let’s face it. Herro is Duncan Robinson level bad of a signing. One can only wonder what would have happened if we traded these guys at their peak value post bubble run

I’m not even mad at the shot attempts for the most part, he should’ve likely taken 7-8 less heavy contested shots but it’s the wide open bricks off Bams screens against the Sixers drop coverage from 3 and in the paint on floaters that completely sucked the life out of the team and lost us the game.

I’m sorry but if you’re paid $30M a year to do nothing but score it has to be at a much better and efficient level than Herro and even moreso when our season is on the line.

Our season didnt officially end last night but it did. Winning that game was our only chance of a deep postseason run

Spo seems to have a bad case of Jovicphobia. I mean the short leash Jovic is under for a first rounder 6’11” ( 6’10” plus) skilled player is painful to watch. First year JJJ, who is not, and I’ll repeat, who’s not more talented nor skilled than Jovic gets a full blown green light full of crucial mistakes, game after game.
Could it be a regional marketing decision?
I don’t know, what else can it be?
Jovic has the height, he is a second year 1st round pick, has the better all around skill, can expand the floor, can play inside, can rebound inside, can alter shots even from bigs.

Just look at JJJ’s crucial mistakes last night, but he was kept even through an avalanche of those.

This coach is running a ‘Culture’ as labeled alright, his very own super flawed approach, as if he has a personal complex of not being tall and limited himself.

Remember when Anthony Davis showed up at his final game as a Pelican with a "That's All Folks" t shirt?

Those should be for sale in the Heat store starting this afternoon!

Multiple championships. Jimmy’s legacy cemented. Pat Riley retires as the GOAT GM. Spoelstra would have surpassed Kerr in chips and be well on his way to catching Phil. And, most importantly, Micky would be much, much richer.

Freakin Spo. Generally a Spo fan but I dont understand why he doesnt use his challenges esp when you got 2 TO to burn. There was enough here to get the call overturned and Herro would shot FTs and we would have won. Should have been a question after the game.

Key word, “ once off this team”, but he is on the team full of misfits and mental midgets, that honestly, can’t perform when called upon crucial situations. The hating machine is really directed at one scapegoat, when it should be directed at an entire squad full of limited bodies not built for the highest of moments.
