Sam Hauser was very nearly on the Heat. Miami was interested and they were his top choice. He said if everything was equal he would have gone there. He was impressed by how they brought along Duncan Robinson and Max Strus.

There were several other teams interested too, including Boston. The Celtics and Timberwolves offered Hauser a two way contract. The Heat only offered him a chance to come to summer league and compete for a two-way.

Hauser and his family finally chose Boston because they trusted and liked fellow midwesterner Brad Stevens.

Theres is only so much a coach can do, and with a team like Boston that seems to be playing at a high level, it will come down to players executing, and that's where we have been shaky a bit without Jimmy. Hope Bam is assertive from the jump and if we are starting Love, hope he has more success against Porzingis than Niko had.

Everyone else seems "defendable" atleast to some extent, other than Kristaps. Let's see what we do in a few minutes
