The saviour of the season: TIMMY!

Post#1 » by BigBallingMIA » Sun Jan 13, 2008 7:13 pm

Per Ethan's Blog wrote:Last night, I ran into Tim Hardaway at the Martin Luther King Basketball Classic in Miramar. Actually, "ran" isn't quite the right word. I was sitting in my seat, staring down at my notebook, when I looked up and saw Hardaway standing above me.

"Write this down," the former Heat guard said. "It's embarrassing to come see them play. They should be ashamed of themselves. I want to come out of retirement to show them how to play. I'm tired of the fans asking me what's wrong with them."

Haha, good ole' Timmy. I bet he would be better than Payton was last year.

I just want to see someone from this coaching/playing group come out and say some harsh words about how poorly this team is playing. Everyone seems to be using excuses and sugar coating it. We are playing pathetic right now and this is not how the Heat are.
Ive seen a coach call a player "pathetic and pitiful before" and that turned the team around to becoming champion that year.
Why wont anyone get on this teams case?

im sure Hardaway is disgusted everytime Jwill brings the ball and pulls up for a 3 right away.

We got some bad players but at least they know their limits...J-will thinks hes Tim Hardaway.

Tim Hardaway is still a God in my eyes not only for his play, but for his comments about John Amaechi. <3 you always, Tim. Oh, when talking man love with Tim, definitely can't forget the no homo! So yeah, no homo.

Well I have to disagree with you there. Timmy was a great player but what he said about Amaechi was wrong and Hardaway himself knows this and has worked to change. I don't care for intolerance whether it be because of race, sex, sexual preference, political beliefs etc. Hating someone because they are different and for things that don't even affect your life personally is just plain dumb imo.

Tolerance doesn't mean you have to partake in a lifestyle that you don't agree with, it just means you respect another person's right to partake if they choose to

are you joking??? Not only were those comments completely off-base, Timmy has since changed quite a bit after saying that...

^Somewhat.

I don't like the term "hate" - however I agree with EVERYTHING else he said.

If you disagree, then that's you. Let me have my own opinion.

I don't approve of that lifestyle either, and while it's not my business unless I make it my business, it's not something that I want to raise children to see. Unfortunately, in this country it's a part of freedom. I am of Jamaican -- we don't condone it at all. I disagree with the killings because IMO no one has the right to take another human life, but I'm proud to say that generally speaking, my country is 100% against it. Let's just leave it at that.
