This is a cap clearing move so Savard can return. Sucks that Hunwick had to go, but glad to see Savard back.

Re: Bruins deal Hunwick to Avs
I was never a fan of Hunwick here. Yes, he has some scoring ability and speed, but he constantly made mistakes that cost the B's in contests. I liked that fight in his last game here, but enough was enough for me. At least McQuaid seems like he knows how to play like a defenseman. But who knows what the Bruins will do between now and trading deadline.
This should open up time for Savard, as reports have indicated. Sturm is also expected to make his return soon. I think this means Paille is gone for sure. I wonder who's next. If Sturm and Savard are definitely here to stay, I'd rather see Caron sent down than Marchand. Marchand is arguably our best penalty killer. Caron has scoring ability and despite his maturity still appears raw.
EDIT: I JUST SAW THAT STURM WAS TRADED RIGHT NOW!! THIS IS GREAT!!!
IGNORE EVERYTHING I SAID IN THE 2nd PARAGRAPH!
