Don't forget that the Cavs and Craptors have trade exceptions from losing LeBron and Bosh. That gives both of those franchises financial flexibility as well. It's not a given that they'll be able to use them competently but it's possible that either or both of them could make some nice moves with their TPEs.

Amir is a notorious rebound thief. The Raptors would do well to get rid of him.

Not sure if the Cavs are in awful position. They should be able to trade Anthony Parker and Varejoa for draft picks to a playoff team, making their team worse, and getting something for them. Jamison will be a killer, but maybe they can find someone to take him. That leaves them with Mo, Sessions, Hickson and Gibson as players they probably will keep. They have the two future late first round draft picks from the Heat.

I suppose the Dan Gilbert rant didn't help anyone potentially signing with them. Things could be worse though: the big dead weight contracts of Z and Shaq aren't there. Delonte West and his problems are gone. The team will be awful, but I don't think it is nearly as dysfunctional as a team like the Knicks, who may have better players and coaches, but are one step away from hiring Isaiah Thomas who can do long term damage, or a team like the Pistons, with those awful contracts.

I think the Pistons have one of the worst futures in the league, even though I really like Greg Monroe. Their players are either soft, overpaid, one-dimensional, or all three.

The Pistons have basically become a carbon copy of the ''pre-Hammond'' Bucks.

And the Bucks are in the process of trying to do their best impression of the 2002-2008 Pistons

I didn't like the Gordon signing for them, but he does have the ability IMO to still be a quality contributor for a really good team, just an overpaid contributor so it's possible that Dumars at some point will be able to trade Gordon. Villanueva though was just an utterly inexcusable signing at that length and dollar amount and the Pistons are likely stuck with that contract for multiple seasons at the very least and probably all four seasons. I didn't think CV would be able to even get an MLE level contract last offseason, much less more than the MLE. It's still baffling to me.

Cavs and Raptors don't have trade exceptions from LeBron and Bosh, because they didn't trade them away, they were lost through free agency so the Cavs and Raps got nothing back.

Yes, they do have trade exceptions. LeBron and Bosh were both sign-and-traded to Miami. Miami had the cap space to sign both of them outright so they didn't have to send any players back, which means that the Cavs and Craptors both got trade exceptions equal to the first year salary that LeBron and Bosh got from Miami. Miami did sign-and-trades (they gave up picks) for LeBron and Bosh so they could give them each a 6th year and 10% yearly raises (instead of the 8% they would have been limited to if they were signed outright).

What a **** ****. I'm glad we traded him when we could. Stealing rebounds is just a huge slap in the face to the rest of the team, IMO. Bargs is going to get screwed playing next to him for the next several years. He's easily a 20-12 guy as a primary option without people stealing boards from him, IMO. Poor Barg... :rofl:

Bogut would probably only average 7 or so boards a night with Amir playing next to him the 25 minutes he can before fouling out.

I really empathize with the great Jordan and Pippen having to play with that board thief Rodman for so many years. What a burden that must have been. Poor guys.
