Awful name. Agree on the Marquette comment, the backlash to this trash seems to be pretty damn high. No clue how this name got this far in the process.

This is all in preparation for the weekly radio show: The Herd is the Werd.

Also, personally I would've gone with the Oshkosh Sasquatch. Mostly because it's fun to say... and offers great mascot potential.

Eh, won't get worked up over it. But I think it's a terrible name tbh. And honestly, I'm not surprised they chose something dumb.

I think people are more likely to buy gear that says Oshkosh Aviators or Fox Valley Flyers on it, than Wisconsin Herd. And when people hear "herd", they think cows.
