You're literally the only person I know who's "annoyed" by Adele. I'm not sure how a voice like that could be considered annoying.

I actually don't know The Civil Wars too much. For my money, though, Helplessness Blues is one of the best albums of 2011.

I get that folks have differing musical tastes. Fair enough.

But Adele's voice has this soulful quality that is just goosebump-inducing, IMO.

I think I understand what Nebs is saying, there is an annoying quality to her voice (IMO), but I do recognize the talent is there.

Big respect for Adele, great voice, etc. I agree with all of that.

That said, "Rolling in the Deep" was one of the most annoying songs of the year to me. I didn't like it too much.

While I disagree on Adele, I can agree on Celine Dion. She had a great voice, but I definitely could only tolerate it for so long.

There's a difference between liking the song and liking the voice. I'm indifferent on her songs, but her voice is one of the most unique voices I've ever heard. Soul, blues, rock, contemporary, it's all there.
