What do you like about him? I mean he has great athleticism and frame, and is really aggressive, but that's all he really has going for him. He can't shoot or dribble, his shot selection is bad, he's not a defender(though people project him as one with his tools), and he's not a playmaker. I just don't see his game translating at all.

I think he'll be an excellent defender and garbage man. Poor mans Leonard, Gerald Wallace etc. Just a very useful player. By no means a star but when your picking in the teens you can't expect that. I wouldn't take him top 10 but where the Bucks project to pick I think he'll be an excellent 2/3 off the bench at the very least.

And if we are drafting 8-12 I'd love Otto Porter out of Georgetown. Just does it all kind of guy. Those are my top 2 realistic targets for the Bucks. My big board as of now goes like this

1. Anthony Bennett
2. Nerlens Noel
3. Archie Goodwin
4. Alex Poythress
5. Shabazz Muhammed

As an aside, I've never watched Alex Len play so I didn't rate him.

I just can't get behind a guy who's all athleticism and still would have to learn to defend and be an effective garbage man(not to mention I don't think you learn to be that type of player). Franklin just isn't any good at those things right now and it's not really his game. I'd much rather spend a pick on a guy I know can at least do something well at the nba level right away.

It's not like he's Stanley Robinson from UConn a few yrs ago. The kid's also putting up big number vs quality opponents as their go t guy.

Has anybody watched Jordan Adams from UCLA? By my numbers, this guy is having a pretty exceptional freshman season.

But it's how he gets those numbers, that's why I don't feel he'll translate.

And Adams can straight fill it up. Incredible shooter and one of those guys who can score in every way, but he doesn't have ideal size or physique. I'd take a flyer on him though.

Really impressed with Trey Burke. He may not have the highest ceiling but a playoff team will get a solid contributor immediately imo. Reminds me of George Hill in how I believe he'll pan out. Never saw Hill in college so not necessarily comparing there games just their impact as later 1st round selections.

Everyone's favorite draft website has Minnesota's Andre Hollins as a top 10 pick in 2014. Pretty shocking. My bet is he is a 4 year player and ultimately goes late 1st round.

Looks like CJ McCollum had a pretty awesome offensive game last Saturday: 34 pts 9-18 FG, 6-10 3Pt :o, 10-11 FT

For the season so far his TS% is .645 and his eFG% is .595

What about Big Dog Jr. (ie. Glenn Robinson III)? Sure would be nice to have another Glenn Robinson on this roster.
We're going to turn this team around 360 degrees.

Excellent freshmen but no way he should come out right now. Has a lot of work to do. Looks like afuture 2nd round pick to me. Michigan is probably my favorite team to watch in the country.

1 Washington 5 28 .152
2 Cleveland 8 28 .222
3 New Orleans 9 25 .265
4 Charlotte 9 24 .273
5 Phoenix 12 23 .343
6 Toronto 12 22 .353
7 Orlando 12 22 .353
8 Detroit 13 23 .361
9 Dallas 13 22 .371
10 Sacramento 13 22
11 Philadelphia 15 20 .429
12 LA Lakers 15 18 .455
13 Boston 17 17 .500
14 Milwaukee 16 16 .500
15 Utah 18 18 .500
Minnesota 15 15 .500

Bucks still have some work to do and need some teams to become buyers, but Boylan is the man for the job.

I think we're gonna need a top 5, maybe top 8, pick to get a guy like Goodwin.

I think he's already being projected as a mid-1st round pick in some mocks. I'm guessing he'll be closer to the lottery than a 2nd rounder.

Stern's got this.. if the Bucks are sold, look for the Bucks to move up in the lottery.

IMO..

Locks for top 5:

1. Washington
2. Cleveland
3. New Orleans
4. Charlotte
5. Orlando

We are in the next tier (moves to make):

6. Sacramento (Cousins)
7. Phoenix (Gortat)
8. Milwaukee (Ilyasova, Ellis)
9. Utah (Millsap)
10. Minnesota (Love)

I think Toronto and Detroit will naturally pass us and Dallas, LAL, Boston, Philly will pass us as buyers. Curious to see what Utah and Minnesota will do given their respective positions.

Stern bounce =

If the Bucks would blow it up, target a top 5 pick, and somehow acquire another lotto pick, they could completely fix the backcourt - and have a young team on the path to contention.

Based upon the stats, Marcus Smart is the next great point guard prospect. I think Smart goes in the top 5 eventually. Right now and from what I look at, he's right on par with Rose and Wall as collegiate prospects.

Jordan Adams is criminally underrated. No one is talking about him even though he has the best numbers of any of the potential SGs in this draft. When I say best numbers/stats, I mean what typically correlates to winning. I got him right below Harden and on the same plane as Beal as a prospect.

http://www.sports-reference.com/cbb/pla ... ams-1.html

I'm also digging Glenn Robinson III. I could see the Bucks selecting him if they do nothing and maintain their mid-first round position. That would be a good pick.

Unless the organization makes trades to force it, I don't think we pick in the top 10. Somewhere around where we were last season (12-14) is far more likely, if we even land that high.

What do you guys think of Michael Carter-Williams?

Will he be available in our range? Seems like adding a guard with that kind of passing ability and size next to either Jennings or Monta would be ideal?
