A wise man once sig'd the best trade idea is the one you don't post. Please keep that in mind.

Thank you and God bless.

Gery is at it again. Looks like there could be legs to the Josh Smith thing.

I’ve heard for a few weeks now that Boston is salivating over Atlanta forward Josh Smith and would be receptive to unloading Brandon Bass and Jeff Green to obtain him.

It’s no secret Brooklyn wouldn’t mind Smith, either. The Nets, some league officials insist, apparently are offering forward Kris Humphries and swingman MarShon Brooks.

One team that hasn’t been publicly mentioned in the Smith Sweepstakes is Milwaukee, although there are whispers the Bucks are interested. The Bucks are in position to offer the Hawks as good of a deal as anyone for Smith, especially if Jennings or Ellis is involved. Bucks forward Ersan Ilyasova, whom the Nets seriously courted during free agency last summer and are still interested in, could also come into play.

How generous of Boston to offer Brandon Bass AND Jeff Green lol.

Unless Josh Smith signs an extension here there isn't even a point of discussing it. Renting a player in the NBA is pointless, teams do not make runs like they do in the playoffs like they do in the NFL and MLB. If Atlanta can't resign him, don't see how we can either.

Hypothetically I guess it is a fun idea, him and Larry together would absolutely ridiculous.

What type of contract will Josh even be looking for? I am assuming the max.

This is good if you believe someone would give Smith the max. We could sign and trade him. But if we're going to give up BJ and Ersan and either give him a max contract or let him go for nothing, this stinks.

If Boston is only offering Bass/Green, then Jennings/Ilyasova is way overbidding.

I think a 3 way trade could be possible tho sending Smith somewhere else

BOS is offering. Doesn't mean ATL is accepting. I'm sure they'd flip BOS the ol' bird with that proposal.

It is....but who are the Bucks going to sign this summer realistically?
Jennings at 12 mil per, Collison at 11, Devin Harris at 8, I don't know which is worse.

MickeyDavis sent us over here as the trade proposal thread, but this is titled 'trades for Bucks to blow it up" which doesn't cover trades that don't require blow up. A title change is in order if this will be the only TI thread.

I've been thinking about Ellis for Gordon/2nd if that's anything worth mentioning.

Don't think it would take Monta to get Gordon. Get in a 3 way with some of the other teams.

Toronto-Trades bargnani receives Dalembert/Gooden
Charlotte-Trades Gordon receives Bargnani(already rumoured)
Milwaukee-Trades Dalembert/Gooden-receives Gordon and someone from Toronto(Anderson or Gray)

Gooden and Dally better for TO than Gordon

^Raptor fan who was swinging through to look at your thoughts on the Josh Smith stuff. This trade is good for Toronto, particularly if Gray is the filler.

Another shot at bringing Bledsoe to MKE;

MKE IN: Bledsoe, Butler, Morrow
MKE OUT: Jennings, Dale, Daniels

ATL IN: Jennings, Udoh
ATL OUT: Morrow, Korver

LAC IN: Korver, Dale, Daniels
LAC OUT: Bledsoe, Butler

ATL gets Jennings restricted rights for two expiring players. Absolute no risk play on their end.

LAC: Gets Korver to give them some O, Daniels for some perimeter D on a limited basis and Dale to back up Jordan. They also get out of the last year of Butler's deal.

MKE: Moving forward with Bledsoe, get a sneak peak at Morrow to see if you want to bring him in next year, and a SF to back up Harris next year.

Might require some movement of picks?

Anderson from Toronto could definitely help us, but its rare when average-poor teams make these kind of rather insignificant trades mid season.

I've been seeing other guys ideas from the other threads. Again asterisk that we aren't allowed to go young, the two series of moves I like best are:

H2tobes idea of Jennings/Ersan to Atlanta for Smith/Morrow combined with Dalembert for Ben Gordon.

That would give us an undersized backcourt again, but Gordon and Smith give us some additional firepower along with Morrow's outside shooting. It isn't perfect but maybe the best we could expect from Kohl.

Also like Doc Holiday's idea of Monta/filler to Atlanta for Bledsoe/Butler with Josh Smith going to LAC. Then combine that with a straight up Jennings for Mayo swap.

Would replace the swag twins with Mayo and Bledsoe while retaining our current front line. I'd like that one also.

I honestly think it's a good trade for all.
