He definitely prefers to finish with his left for whatever reason.
I imagine either through a coach or his own initiative he started heavily practicing using his left before he got anywhere confident/competent on his right. When that happens early in development it becomes the dominant hand for that skill.
I joined a team as a kid with minimal basketball experience and shortly after we were taken for a couple of sessions by a skills coach. He had us doing all of our dribbling with our opposite hands the entire time. I'd never really used my dominant left hand dribbling before so I became proficient with my right and it just became easier to use. While I eventually learned to use both hands to dribble and finish, my go to moves still either involve a right dribble to spin left finish or a right drive with a step through and left hand finish off the wrong foot.
