Not me

not me either.

ersans a parttime player who isnt going to lead us anywhere. josh smith is in that rudy gay/ danny granger mold only better, and would immediately legitimize us next to sanders up front. the 2 of them side by side gives me goosebumps. he would be more than happy to sign here if we offer him max money. the extra year and cash we could offer makes that a nobrainer if that would be our intention.. its a non issue.

upgrading jennings to teague is a bonus too.

teague/beno
ellis/ beno
mam/ dunleavy
smith/ henson
sanders/ dalembert

thats some explosive talent and a really solid blend.

But also a lineup that cannot shoot the ball at all.

Relax guys. John will usher Josh to Discovery World and Seven Bridges, and he will have a change of heart not unlike the Grinch. End of problems.

Hell Yeah!!!!
PG: Beno
SG: Monta
SF: Moute
PF: J Smoove
C: Larry

If Smith agrees to an extension then we have him/larry/monta to build on, if he does not, then it is a all out re build.

Smith will never extend here. Remember the FTD year. He "hates" Milwaukee...

not any worse than it is right now. ts% goes up and the offense gets more 3 dimensional with teague/smith replacing jennings/ersan. plus the bench are all great shooters for their positions. the shooters off the bench fit better with teague/smith as well. mam becomes trade bait if smith were to sign here.

I've always though Atlanta was the perfect spot for Jennings.

But I have no interest in Josh Smith.

Give em Monta/Jennings & Ersan for Teague & Horford.

That won't happen. But that's what I would want.

More like that franchise has a history of valuing players like Jennings.

If the goal is to generate the worst offense in the NBA and be a permanent first round out, this is a great lineup.

I think way too much has been made about Smith's comments, and I thought so at the time. The guy admitted to never actually having gone out and doing anything in Milwaukee then some other reporter asked him if he'd vacation there. I've made fun of lots of places before for no other reason than just making a joke. And it's not really that high risk as emumney mentioned.

Gery Woelfel is hearing whispers?

Pretty sure he can get medication for that.

yeah yeah yeah our offensive effiency is improved over what we have now so whatever with the hyberbole....its also the most intimidating frontline in nba history defensively. so deal with that too.

Depends on what we trade to get him. You have to weigh that vs. what else you could have received from the same assets we traded. I'll take long-term assets all day over 30 games of Smith.

Umm, no way it's better. Josh Smith is a poor offensive player, surely worse than Ilyasova. You still have Monta, who is the least efficient volume scorer in the NBA, arguably. Sanders is unskilled offensively. Moute is unskilled offensively. That's a horrible offensive lineup.

And yes, it's good defensively, but best in NBA history = LOL. That team doesn't win more than 43/44 games. That's before we even get into the financial stupidity of giving Smith the max and extending Monta, when both are going to age poorly given that they came in young, rely a ton on athleticism, and have no jumpshots.

I'm sure that the Bucks are talking with all these teams. And the worry would be that the front office would view Smith like they did Monta last year, ie. a swag guy to get us the 8th seed.

However with all these trades, remember who is working the phones on our behalf and visiting other GM's this weekend at the ASG in Houston. That guy isn't very good at getting anything accomplished. Double edged sword I know because there is always the chance of a bad, bad deal.

But despite all this talk, past history would tell us the only actual trade he can pull off would be a Dalembert/2nd for Morrow type swap come Thursday.

Morrow is back and can't even get into the rotation for Atl even with Lou Williams out. I would expect him to be one of the guys coming back in a trade. Don't see why Atl would want to sign Jennings over Teague? If a Smith trade happens I a not sure sure BJ goes to Atl. Please get a 3rd team involved and move both swag guards, that would make me feel better about giving Smith the max.
