That said, I really do appreciate the Tobias trade right now. In the last 48 hours we've gotten the #1 lotto seed and two billionaire owners. I do not believe all the wheels of those events go into motion without the Tobias trade. That was the catalyst.

John Hammond is a hero. Actually, he's more like an angel. Some sort of reality based Highway to Heaven, except this time instead of Michael Landon, we get John Hammond. Somebody check to make sure John doesn't hitchhike out of town with a leather bag. Can't be true.

Well, um, I'd say a couple of his big deadline trades the last few years pissed enough of the right people off and got them motivated enough to get active in telling the world very loudly how brutally awful Kohl and his FO have been, and maybe that developed into somewhat of a movement that may have had a tiny bit of influence.

So, yeah. :D

Tim Duncan is easily my favorite non-Wisconsin athlete and might be my favorite athlete period.

I was insanely sad when they lost. I can only hope that they can get back this year. Going to be tough to try and break through both Durant (now that he has ascended to another level as a player) and LeBron though.

The Tobias trade failed on multiple levels bigger than just losing that player. It signified this group thought they had a team to go for it with. They brought in yet their third guard who would be a free agent wanting big money in the offseason, and then they botched acquiring Bledsoe with the Redick asset, which set off another riot.

I unlocked this one.....

The deal we made was the thread stays active until Hammond is no longer employed by the Bucks. Until such time, we will always need a reminder of his negotiating and trading skills.

Or we lock it if the Bucks acquire Bledsoe. That also works. 8-)

The Harris deal was obviously poor, but I think the Gooden one is a bigger indication of ineptitude. That contract was a joke from year one. At least with Reddick, we filled a need (an elite shooter) on that team and, if we're being honest, Tobias is not going to be a starting-caliber player on a good team during his initial contract.

I don't want to get into this again because it depresses me, but no the Redick trade was absolutely a joke, there is no way to rationalize it. Redick didn't fill a need, we weren't winning the title and weren't going to get past Miami in the first round even if JJ channelled Reggie Miller's ghost and averaged 35 ppg. A bigger need was young core pieces to develop into stars / high quality starters to enable us to form a winning team. Tobias was always more likely to fill that need than Redick.

Really? Get over it.

So much fuss over such an average player, I just don't get it.

I just don't see it. He's an ok asset, but who really cares about the guy? Well....obviously many here but I just see him as nothing special.

I'm down with keeping it open.

Forgetting the past makes it bound for it to be repeated.

I'll be curious to see where/how Tobes fits in with forward logjam in Orlando.

I don't any of us is going to forget that trade. Punishing ourselves by constantly reminding ourselves helps no one.

It's not a punishment anymore, to me at least.

Every step we made, led to where we are today with Jabari Parker and I'm happy with where we are today.

Tobes is a great example of how people can get excited about a player and then overrate him big time.

Oh, potential spoiler alert... the same thing that happened with overrating Tobes could happen with Giannis "Seven foot tall Scottie Pippen with robot arms that can shoot laser beams out of his eyes and is unlike any other player the NBA has ever seen before" Antetokounmpo.

Hopefully not though.

Overrated? He was dealing with an ankle injury thru most of the early part of the season but his post all-star numbers were pretty solid, 15.8pts 6.3reb 1.3ast in 28.2min on .508%/.381%/.821% shooting, .584% TS
Shoot, Move, and Communicate...

Spoiler:

I'm just here for my own amusement,"don't take offense at my innuendo..."
