Jennings, oh he mad (Tweets against Boylan-page 11)

Post#1 » by trwi7 » Thu Mar 28, 2013 2:16 am

Thought this probably deserved its own thread because he talks about other benchings.

"This is the third time I've been benched in the second half and it hasn't been under (former coach Scott) Skiles," Jennings said after the game. "You always want to be out there to help your team.

"I don't see any all-stars in this locker room so I think everybody should be held accountable, like anybody else. There's no maxed-out players in this locker room; there's no all-stars. So don't try to put me on a pedestal and just give everybody else the freedom to do whatever they want."

Jennings said he feels he is being singled out.

"Of course," he said. "This is the third time this has happened. We had a sluggish start but we still had a chance to win it. It was there for us to take."

Asked how he would respond for the Bucks' home test against the Los Angeles Lakers, Jennings said: "It's up to him whether he's going to put me in the game or not," referring to coach Jim Boylan. "Just go with the flow."

Boylan said he was reacting to the Bucks' sluggish start to both halves and low energy.

"At the point of attack, you need to have some intensity," Boylan said. "That was a little bit lacking tonight.

"I just felt I needed to do something to try to energize our team. We played with pretty good energy toward the end of the first half, and then we came out in the second half and we were right back to how we had started the game."

The Bucks were outscored, 8-2, at the start of the second half and Jennings was pulled after fouling Holiday. The 76ers guard made two free throws for a 62-50 lead.

Milwaukee rallied for a 78-76 lead after three quarters and led by four points early in the fourth quarter before the 76ers went on a 15-0 run to take control.

"When you play that position (point guard) there comes a lot of responsibility," Boylan said. "The offense is initiated from that position. The talent at that position in this league is outstanding.

"So you have to bring it every single night, at both ends of the floor. If that's not happening, you need to do something. I just felt I needed to do something tonight, so that's what I did."

Get this bum out of here.

One of Hammond's best draft picks IMO.

I like the confusion about being put on a pedestal.

You have to admit, it would be unreal hilarious if he signed with Dallas and became a legitimate all-star.

Yep, this is what happens when you wait 4 years to do it. Skiles spoiled him.

To be fair, Monta shot 9 threes. If I were coaching he wouldn't take any ever.

Expect nothing less from Brandon.

Hope to god we don't see him in a Bucks uniform after this season.

Haven't liked this guy since he got all pissy last year after his perceived All Star "snub." He quit on his team then and he continues to do it to this day. If Hammond and Kohl are dumb enough to pay this punk big money to "lead" this team they'll get what they deserve when this deal fizzles out and his attitude never changes.

This team bores me.
We're going to turn this team around 360 degrees.

I still think he could be a pretty good player in the right system :dontknow:
Maybe a change of scenery is best for both parties though

" I don't see any All Stars in this room" . Very true statement and BJ you lead that parade!

He's being singled out because he's supposed to be the leader and he looks like he doesn't give a sht at all.

Props to Boylan for standing up to BJ and addressing it to the media too. If I'm Boylan, I'm going down swinging too.

Saw none of this game: was there an incident between Jennings and Boylan that caused this?

Not really, Jennings was just doing absolutely nothing - I don't think he attacked the paint once the entire first half. Then Holiday got in the lane and drew two fouls in the first few minutes of the 2nd half helping Philly get out to an 8-2 jump. Jennings got pulled right after the 2nd foul in favor or Redick, and Jennings started sulking as he walked to the bench, where he was planted the rest of the game.
