Considering that there have only been 42 prep-to-pro draftees in NBA history, and the current CBA with the 19-years-old + one-year-out-of-HS rule is less than a decade old, I doubt that the set of all teams starting two 19-year-olds would have enough in it to spit out a meaningful r.

Because the set of 19-year-old starters is probably overpopulated with rare talents and "hardship" cases, if there were sufficient data to create a correlation coefficient I suspect it would show the opposite of what you think it should show because the Kobes and LeBrons would skew it. I agree, though, that a lot of patience will be required as we watch these teenagers try to compete with grown men.

At least they'll both be 20 in time for the playoffs.

Out of the 500+ posts on this thread I don't think I've read 1 that would fall under the category of "freaking out" about Parker.

Maybe we're interpreting these posts a bit differently.

If I am freaking out about anything having to do with Parker it was his inability to guard anyone. I don't think anyone is concerned about his ability to put the ball in the hoop.

My biggest concern about Parker by a mile is how he was used. Don't like it. Don't like it at all.

Yeah, ISO'ing from the three point line for a pull up jumper isn't his game right now. His strengths are shooting off the catch, transition ability, and post ability. If they are really going to put him at SF during the season, he better be in the post a lot is all I'm going to say. I still think conditioning is hurting his explosiveness though.

good lord those are all some rough shooting numbers. but that makes me feel a whole lot better. it appears the sl rookies that actually impressed the most probably weren't many of the freshman

I sincerely hope that the way the SL staff had this team playing was just intended to focus solely on Giannis and Jabari developing, which I expect. Hopefully the regular season isn't only high pick and rolls and isos for guys that aren't ready to do that yet.

it doesnt surprise me randle is dominating SL if you could call it that. hes still stronger than most of these kids and using his strength and height to advantage.

difference when he steps onto an nba court, those things will no longer be an that big of an advantage for him.

Boston played in Orlando. He shot horribly too. Averaged 14.8 points, 4.2 rebounds, 4.2 assists, 2 steals and shot 29% from the field.

I think I'd tell JOB III to go overseas, lose some more weight, and come back next summer.

I have not watched any of the SL play....

Isn't the format a combination of semi-controlled scrimage for the primary players, and playground ball for the cannon fodder; which leads to chaos? The coaches focus on prepping the Giannis's & Jabari's for the regular season, and everything else is filler?

from what i've seen giannis needs to learn how to use the pick more. Other then that i'm excited about what he can be.
