Preseason Game 1 Vs. Memphis in Green Bay - 7:00

We finally have some basketball to talk about. And all of the overreactions, good and bad, that go with it. 8-)

Flashback to our preseason opener a year ago. We lost to Cleveland 99-87. Our starting lineup was Ersan, Mayo, Knight, Sanders and Butler. Stephan Graham led the scoring with 15. Antetokounmpo had a nice start with 14. Ersan hurt his ankle.

Is any TV crew covering this? I'd guess since this is Memphis, the answer is no.

I don't think so. The games on the 11th and 14th are on NBATV.

Plenty of good seats still available.I'm debating about making the trek from FDL after work. There are courtside seats $120 and VIP $ 77 still available in large quantities. It would appear only the $9 section is sold out. They should have given me this game as I am somehow paying more than last year with one less home game do to the London game being our home game. I always look forward to the start of a new season but this year its more about the makeup of this Bucks Team than just getting to watch NBA basketball live all season long

As of a couple days ago there were alot of seats on the baseline for $28 that were only a few rows from the floor too. Hopefully they get a decent walk-up crowd and can at least get the building half full.

I believe I saw yesterday that Ersan has the flu and was unlikely to make the trip. I'm not sure if that has changed. I'm looking forward to seeing Parker, Giannis, Kidd, etc.

Wiggins had 18pts last night. I'm expecting the same or better from Jabari tonight or else we will need to start discussing whether or not he's a bust. 8-)

Bucks don't control the ticketing for this game, PMI does, so unless you maybe make special arrangements with them they wouldn't just give this one out. I'm surprised you weren't comped a game for the London deal. I have the half plan was given "other" seats for the home NYK game since the one I was supposed to have went to London.

The only thing about that argument though is that we didn't pass on Wiggins to take Parker. The bigger comparison will be how Parker vs. Embiid/Exum ends up.

I have a full season so there isn't another one to give me, though I suppose they may have credited me the two tickets even with the higher final invoice. There is zero itemizing on the invoices even when I have earned an ambassador credit.

Agreed, although it helps psychologically that we never had that choice.

I'm just glad we at least got Jabari. If we ended up with Gordon, Exum, Smart, etc, this board's mood would be much diminished.

I will say I don't expect Jabari to be a star right out of the gates. Things I'll be looking for from him this year are:

1. Defensive effort
2. Attacking/getting to the free throw line (not settling for jump shots)
3. Willingness to pass/get others involved
4. Attack the offensive and defensive glass
5. Develop a three point shot as the year goes along

If he can do three out of five of those well, I'll be pretty happy.
