Thanks all for the kind words. This was indeed a sucker bet on my part, definitely not the first, and probably not the last.

Yeah, you were a good sport with this and took a tough bet in order to bring some levity and fun to the board.
And you are deservedly rewarded with more And1's than the Raptors board can hand out!

That is why it was the 10:1 odds, although I'm glad that I'm not wasting a portion of my day reading a 10 page post.

I liked this bet way better than the people who were betting their accounts. Nice work Sid.

If the new arena plan fails (now seems unlikely, I hope) and the team is moved, the NBA will lose a distinctive and talented community of fans. Proved daily here and at BrewHoop. People are people, so I suppose the insight, humor, freshness, joie de hoops, and idiosyncracy that I find hereabouts are approximated by fans of other teams. But I'm not so sure. Maybe long winters promote reflection and internal growth.
AFAIK, IDKM

You give me too much credit, but thank you.
When a superior man hears of the Tao,
he immediately begins to embody it.
When an average man hears of the Tao,
he half believes it, half doubts it.
When a foolish man hears of the Tao,
he laughs out loud.
If he did not laugh
it would not be the Tao.
