Bucks' Jabari Parker said he will not play in preseason game in Chicago on Tuesday night. Went through full practice Monday.

[tweet]https://twitter.com/cf_gardner/status/651101407513325568[/tweet]

"I'm not playing," Parker said. "I want to wait until at least we play here (in Milwaukee) first, if anything. I want to show my loyalty."

[tweet]https://twitter.com/cf_gardner/status/651101668935909376[/tweet]

More Parker: "All my loyalty is in Milwaukee and I can care less about Chicago right now."

[tweet]https://twitter.com/cf_gardner/status/651102789318377472[/tweet]

Parker said it was his thought initially not to play in Chicago. "I'm on a rebuild and I don't want to cut any corners," he said.

I love Jabari!

Offensively, he'll be fine, and if he can shoot now, he could even be really good. Defensively, we'll have to be very patient.

While I agree Giannis was way more than 2 years behind Jabari from a development perspective at the time both were drafted.

I'm at 50 wins too.

Maybe we poll the board?

If the 'optimists' really win out here it'll truly be a new day. Even going into the playoffs last year we still had plenty of tank-talk.

"It was me initially," Parker said of the decision to sit out against the Bulls. "I don't think it would be the right way to go about it, especially where I'm at right now. I'm on a rebuild and I don't want to cut any corners. I want to make sure that I go in 110 instead of 100%."

Parker said his return to the game floor is "TBC, to be continued."

"I can't look too far ahead with it," he said. "The sixth day without any setbacks (on Monday) ... it's been real good so far."

Parker, who starred at Chicago Simeon and grew up idolizing Michael Jordan, did not play against the Bulls at the United Center last season. The teams did not play in Chicago during the preseason and the two regular-season games at the United Center - and three playoff games - came after Parker was injured.

Bucks coach Jason Kidd said the plan is to continue to build Parker up in practice.

"He will play at some point but (Tuesday) he's not playing," Kidd said.

When Parker does take the court, the Bucks still plan to be cautious with his minutes.

"We've got a plan and we'll stick to it early on and hopefully build his base and eventually get to where he can play a heavy load," Kidd said. "That's going to take a little time."

50 wins is the absolute ceiling for mine. On paper we look awesome but I can still see us getting out of the gates slow while Monroe and Jabari get comfortable. I expect us to be rolling by Jan, Feb but I'm sure if we start slow the realgm meltdown will begin. 45-37 seems right to me.

I'm hoping we set the tone for the season against the Knicks in Game 1 (even without Giannis. I predict Middleton puts up 30.

Unbelievable how we have had 3 incredible shooting guards over the last 20 years. Hopefully Money plays here and at a high level for the next decade

I think Monroe is going to be way more comfortable than he was playing PF in Detroit. And Giannis + Middleton are going to start out on fire while getting tons of newfound easy looks.

Whether our defense takes a short term hit is a reasonable question. But I bet our offense and rebounding will be so vastly improved that it won't be visible in the standings.

I expect the defense to take a small step back and the offense will still turn it over at a high rate, so I have the Bucks at 45 wins

I, on the General Board, did predict that the Bucks will grab the 2nd seed in the East. There will be a group of teams winning roughly the same, but I think the Bucks will take that second slot.

50 wins seems overly optimistic, we'd need everything to go our way.

Yeah, I feel like I'm usually one of the optimists, but I have us at 45 right now. Young players taking on more of a leadership role, new players that have to learn the system, etc. But 45 wins would still be a great season to me.

If Giannis and Middleton take another step forward plus having a super ZaZa in the form of Monroe? I just see 50-wins there. If we don't get it, those guys aren't as good as we think they are.

I think by the end of the season we'll be a 50-win-team, but we still have to grow into that a little bit. That's how I get to 45 wins, if that makes any sense.

Kidd will also be a better coach next season than he was his first year in Milwaukee.

And last year we began with Giannis and Middleton being benched. It should be a sea change for those two this time around.

I mean, we were 11-18 after the MCW trade. I think we are a much better team than that, but we were still only 8-7 in the last 15 regular season games he played in

We're still one of the youngest teams in the league. Having a 50 win season or bust expectations is a little over the top imo.

I thought all that also at the end of last year. But I'm seeing guys making the leap right now like Giannis and Middleton. You just watch those guys in camp and that scrimmage and they look ready to go.

I mean, I hope you are right, but we will see. Anything north of 45 wins would be great progress.
