Basically the minute Jason Kidd got to Milwaukee we all knew he was in charge of personnel moves. Yet every time a new "report" about his role is released people get all up in arms. Kinda funny. And lets be real here, NOBODY, not ONE team was giving us any kind of value for Duds or Zaza. Hell, the Clippers had to attach a 1st with the younger version of Dudley just so someone would take him off their hands. We could have maybe held out for a top 45 protected 2nd round pick or some sh*t, but I think it was more about sending a message to other mediocre vets that we'll be willing to accommodate them when the time comes. Yes, the Greivis deal was bad at the time, and obviously much worse after we received the broken, garbage heap version, but we're in great shape financially and still have a good looking young core.

I think your side and the highly concerned side both have merit.

These new owners presumably are a lot smarter than Herb and they won't make a stupid mistake. On the other hand, Kidd hasn't necessarily demonstrated he's down with the #ownthefuture plan nor competency with a "win now" plan either.

We'll learn a lot about where things stand in ten days.
