I think they are maybe trying to limit his minutes? Strange to punt the game so early but I thought I had heard something like that and he must have decided to give up.

I know that there was talk of conditioning way earlier in the year as to wanting to ease him back in after a year away, and I have no idea if this relates, but on that run out pass to him that he threw off of Trimble to keep the ball, he seemed gassed unless he was just setting up that play. But it seemed like if he sprinted it was his ball to lose.

You guys watching on TV probably had a better view than me at the game, but I didn't think it was remotely playable for him when the pass was made. I was amazed he even managed to run it down to make the play he did.
