it was a f**king robbery, the ref even waited to see whether the ball would go in to blow his whistle

What, you want the U.S. to beat everybody by 50 when they really care? You can tell others how to play when you rise to become the top dog.

There's no right and wrong way to play basketball. Just the winning and losing way, within the rules. It's not a morals competition.

Just finished watching the Bronze medal game, what a deflating end to a great tournament for us. It's pretty wild to see such a horrible call actually decide an Olympic medal game.

Absolutely mind boggling. People make mistakes, but sheesh that's a terrible call to make at the death.

Congratulation to the USA
Talent beats Team when Talent is so high above the Rest

One Pass per possesion is enough when you have Durant and get 5 rebounds per possesion

"The referees did a great job of calling the foul, as they did the whole game. You try to play physical out there and play by the rules ... they (FIBA) put the flop warning in probably for these guys."

Ahhh Bogey, diplomatic as always.

“I tried to get something off the penetration, I saw Pau (Gasol) coming on the left and I tried to make a basket. I have to check on the screen but that’s (the foul) what the referee called. I know during the game there were many fouls the referees didn’t call on our side.”

Rodriguez about that foul call- opting for "I'll have to check the tape", he clearly knew it was a bad call and didn't want to comment on it.

I feel your pain. I do.

In the replay it is clear Patty over-committed with his right leg but pulled back at the last second and Rudy took the spill. A savvy play by a savvy flopper. You can also understand a ref calling from the weakside of the play sees phantom contact and blows his whistle.

And, I didn't see the game, but in the replay it states there was 5-6 seconds remaining. Did the Aussies get a clean look to win the game? What happened after the foul?
