How funny would it be for Kidd to bench Giannis?

That'd be akin to signing his resignation papers.

Bucks coach Jason Kidd put Giannis with second team in practice today and mixed up units.

A little Cryuff in Kidd? :noway: :noway: :noway:

What coach does this? Preparing in case your star player gets in foul trouble?! So you have him practice with the 2nd team, instead of the 1st team, who he spends the majority of his time playing with?

How about prepare him not to pick up quick, silly fouls?

And how often is Giannis gonna pick up 2 fouls as fast as he did the other night? Does Kidd think he's being revolutionary or something?

This may be the dumbest thing I've ever seen our idiot coach do, and that's saying a lot. Wouldn't doubt it if Terry was running with the 1st team.

This seems totally reasonable to me.. he's probably practiced 90% with the starters and only 10% with the bench. If we want Kidd to stagger minutes so one of Jabari and Giannis is on at all times then the bench need to learn to play with both of them...

Giannis was benched after 4 and 6 minutes in other games to come in after 8/10 and start the 2nd Q with the 2nd unit. This worked well. Pretty normal they work this out in practice.

If you know how Cruijff talked in Dutch and remember how his first coaching years were, then you maybe understand.

I think it's kind of funny and honestly was probably used more as a slight call out ("Hey Giannis, if this is going to be a regular thing why don't you just practice with the second unit?") than actually trying to prepare him for it happening a lot. Either way this is nothing, but we're all bored waiting for the next game to finally come.

Why Giannis took a long 2 ?
Maybe cause Jabari is at the wrong place and Barnes clearly disrespects him and covers Giannis left drive ...
It should be Terry on Jabari's position or the best option was Teletovic on Jabari's spot.
I insist this L is all on Kidd

I don't know how you put that on anyone other than Giannis if we're be honest (hey that rhymed). I don't think the play was drawn up as "Giannis take a long contested, fadeaway jumper after blatantly traveling". You knew the defense was going to collapse on him, and Giannis needs to either:

A) Drive and attack the rim, or

B) Kick it out to a more open shooter in rhythm (even Jabari)

Maybe, but you can't run a pnr with Giannis and Jabari. Would've rather seen a Delly Giannis pick n roll or the ball in Jabari's hands.

Giannis: “Nothing. Just get a ring now.”
