i'm surprised the 27th pick was the best offer available considering how good Lou WIlliams has been this year

Actually, no. Brewer sucks big time and has one more year on his contract after that. Trading Lou was the right thing, but I'm adamant that he's worth more than that offer.

It's a solid move getting a 1st round pick out of a 30-year old guy who wasn't in your future plans anyways. Brewer only has one more year at $7 mil on his deal. I like it for both teams.

Don't get me wrong: If this was the only deal out there, I'd do it, but there has to be a better deal out there imo.

What more could you expect to get for Lou Williams? They did fine.

It seems a little low but I think that's where the market is at. Teams are holding onto those 1st rounders like never before. Not a great sign for the bucks chances of landing one for one of the spare parts.

More than that. He's been a great 6th man and that Brewer deal is cancer. There was interest from Jazz and Wizzards, too.

I really thought they'd be able to get a higher pick. But I'm pretty sure Magic remembered Brewer once had a 50 point game and just had to have him.

I don't like the Lou Will fit in Houston.

I don't either, I guess it means Harden can rest more. Thought Wilson Chandler would've made more sense.

They seem to just want to out score their opponent. Maybe it works :dontknow:

Brewer is an expiring next year, what are you talking about cancer? And yeah there might have been interest, but who says it would have been a better deal??

I guess you really can't pass on that pick with Brewer's contract for Lou Williams. He's pretty damn good.

With cancer I mean that he's unplayable (and yet you are paying him 7 million next season). The going rate to clear someone like that in the offseason would probably be 2 2nds allone.

Magic is one of the best players I've ever seen, but the man is clueless. I can't see this ending well for the Lakers.

Lakers need to get in the top 3 to keep their pick, so its better for them if he is unplayable. 7 mil is peanuts compared to contracts getting thrown around these days.

Look I don't disagree with direction of the move, I just think Lou for Burks/GS 1st. or just the GS 1st. e.g. (assuming those were discussed) would have been better for example. Lakers could have then used that cap space to buy someone else out for a second e.g..

Jeanie Buss fired her brother today. I know that isn't exactly how it went down, but on paper it sure is.

Return to Milwaukee Bucks
