I think they just need to get out of this weekend and will feel good about making a legit run. Feel like historically MU has let some of teams lurk around in the first game. And there is so much parity now that its not really a shock if a 7 seed beats us, I mean it happened last year obviously. We’ll see. If Kolek ism’t 100% and/or re-injures himself all bets are off too.

Or a 15 seed, lol….
Glad I’m a Bucky fan.. kinda hated Marquette students sharing nightlife in Milwaukee while goin to UWM when we had Von McDade and Craig Greene.
Still hope they can flip a switch but isn’t looking good….

Like shaka as a coach but he's won only one ncaa tourney game since 2012-2013 and that was last year. Wild.

I'd say MU is my second or third team so I'd rather have them win. But being this is also UWs bracket if they go down it becomes a mess on that end of it as the highest seed would be a 7. Makes it easier for whoever comes out of the top which of course could be UW if they get lucky.

Went to UW but grew up in the suburbs of MKE and absolutely loved the Marquette teams growing up, Wade/Novak/Wes Matthews/DJO/Jimmy Butler etc, so I still don't mind them. That said, as someone else pointed out, they absolutely need to get over that first weekend hump for both the program's and Shaka's sake.

Warriors were better than Golden Eagles………. It’s a damn Tony Scott Movie…. or a Warcraft class….
They could have just lost the logo or mascot, kept the name…

This is the year for them to right it. Colorado/Florida will not be an easy task but otherwise should waltz into the Elite 8.

Fun second half.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

Marquette now wouldn't face a single digit seed until the Elite Eight at the earliest

I've been much higher this whole time on the draw Marquette got in this tournament. I don't usually pick Wisconsin or Marquette to go far in my bracket but I have Marquette making a Final 4 run this year. I'm even more enthused after seeing Texas Tech & Kentucky fall in R1 meaning Marquette doesn't have to face a single digit seed until the Elite 8 at the earliest. Marquette is a team that can have matchup problems against certain types of teams but I think they should be able to handle Colorado and then NCST/Oakland and I actually think Marquette is a good matchup against Houston. They have a real shot at this thing

I’ve watched this team close all season and they could go deep if they get hot but sometimes they get in their own way. They played 30 minutes of frustrating ball and then closed out the final 10 strong. They are streaky.

Last year they had the advantage of zero expectations. Also, Prosper was a significant loss in my opinion. He had a sort of x factor that the team could sometimes plug into and rely on in games; gave them an edge. Oso ain’t that guy, in fact he played incredibly timid and indecisive in the game against WKU. Mitchell can make bonehead decisions and he’s a kid, he also plays so hard. My favorite player is Joplin. Strong, plays d, shoots the 3. I would love that dude on my team. Obviously Kolek is the glue that holds them together and leads out there. Kam can create and shoot but sometimes he’s too eager (youth). Good team, has warts like they all do, but fun to watch and root for.

Either way, I’m excited to see how the rest unfolds.

It took TK a half to get things right. Second half was well played. If the other guys step up - watch out, they'll be fun to watch!

These next few games feel very boom or bust for Shaka's reputation. Marquette has a golden opportunity to get to the Elite 8 with the path they've been given. An Elite 8 or Final 4 run would lock Shaka in as a great coach, but falling before then could land him in Gard territory among the fanbase

Shooting almost 75% through 17 min and only up 7 is slightly concerning

Good half. Don't let up. Colorado has won 10 of 11, can't let them back in the game
