Reviews are out and I'm definitely gonna pick it up. Sounds excellent, and I liked Odin Sphere and Dragon's Crown. 13 Sentinals lost me but this game looks right up my alley.

Bought Balatro for the Switch and I’m enjoying it. Haven’t completed a run yet; think furthest I’ve been is ante 7/8.

On my way out of the country and missed the release date by one day to be able to play it on the flight. Ah well. Enjoy!

Hey friends-

So ... I can't stomach paying Sepctrum TV/internet anymore. I know this pops up here from time to time. A couple questions for the informed:

I) what's the best way to get the last two months of Bucks games for the cheapest price BUT that allows me to watch on my time? I'm rarely home during actual broadcasts, so over the air signal does nothing for me. I need to DVR or have it available on-demand? Is it the lame Bally's app that everyone seems to hate? Does that work for anyone?? I'm not tech sophisticated enough to "hit the high seas".

2) my only options for internet service are spectrum ($70 - 300 speed), ATT ($50 - but much slower 50 speed), and T-mobile ($50 - but a wide 35-275 speed range). T-mobile is tempting, but I've heard reliability is an issue, especially at night. My family of four streams movies and plays games online.

Thoughts from the crew greatly appreciated.

Picked up Unicorn Overlord yesterday but haven't dug in yet. I started Dead Cells on Xbox and played that the last two days, not realizing I'd already gotten a fair way through the game on Playstation; I thought it was on Switch, and I gave that away to my nieces.

But nah, I've got all the DLC and a bunch of content on the PS version and I'm just now diving into a bunch of modes I'd never tried before. Boss rush is great and a really good way to unlock needed upgrades and items.

This'll keep me busy for a few days.

Such a great game.

Multiplayer was fun for awhile, but I was eventually disappointed at how limited and relatively pointless it was.

Unicorn Overlord is deep as hell. This has the makings of the next great tactical RPG franchise.

Some Rise of the Ronin previews hit tonight and the game doesn't sound like a bust, but it definitely sounds like a significant step back from Nioh and Wo Long.

Went back to Diablo IV this weekend, did a respec on my Rogue to be a Flurry/Rapid Fire build, and bumped the difficulty down to Tier 1 to just cruise the story. Overall, I enjoyed myself, but if I hadn’t bought it on discount I think I’d feel disappointed. I get the same vibe of Diablo III where it was underwhelming, then Reaper of Souls made it a bunch of fun. Kind of think it will get there with time and an expansion or two.

Anyway, not sure what my next game will be. Might play Super Mario Bros Wonder for a big change in pace. I also still have Dead Space and TotK in my backlog from last year.

I've never been a Zelda guy, but TotK blew my mind and I think I only experienced, like, 20% of it.

I paid $70 for D4. Played it maybe 2 hours.
I paid $70 for Starfield. Played it less than an hour.

I need to trust myself better.

Watched Shogun and on a whim decided to reinstall Nioh 2. It's been a long time since I've played a Soulsborne where parrying isn't the name of the game and my instincts are completely wrong.

Videogame HOF Finalists.

Asteroids
Elite
Guitar Hero
Metroid
Myst
Neopets
Resident Evil
SimCity
Tokimeki Memorial
Tony’s Hawk Pro Skater
Ultima
You Don’t Know Jack

If only three get in, I'd go with Metroid, Myst, and SimCity.

Myst was one of my first video game loves, but it's no Myth.

This one for me is pretty easy.
Guitar Hero, Tony Hawk, and Metroid.

All genre defining games.

I think too many dated games get out-sized credit for being "genre defining" when they don't hold up at all. I'm going Tony Hawk, SimCity, and Metroid because I can still play those games in 2024 and have an absolute blast.

Has anyone played the original Ultima?

No one has ever made a good spiritual successor to Myth II: Soulblighter and it vexes me.

I never liked Myst but it was the biggest selling PC game of an entire decade.
