That's what I use it for. Also asking the hard questions on occasion.

Not bad, AI Overlords...not bad at all.

Dude I had that CD and played it all the time. Way ahead of its time

It's a wildly uneven soundtrack, but when the tumblers align....woooo baby.

AI gets the gasface. I admit it has utility but it's gonna be abused.

Power out here at my place in NE WI. Some customers have been without it since late last night.

This could be a fairly substantial event. Apparently, 80,000 people are missing the juice.

"As of my knowledge cutoff in September 2021, the NBA champions for the 2020-2021 season were the Milwaukee Bucks. They won the NBA Finals by defeating the Phoenix Suns in six games to secure their first championship in 50 years. However, please note that my information might be outdated, and there may have been subsequent NBA champions since then."
It has since been updated to say check newer sources, but I used to go on ChatGPT when i was sad and ask "Who are the NBA champions"

Apple Podcasts is the one I like the most, but I switched to Spotify. I'm curious about my listening habits on the year and Apple won't give you that.

I'm on Andoid and use the paid version of Pocket Casts (I think it was like $12?) and I've used it for years. The customizability of it is awesome and it really makes it easy to sort through podcasts.

I tried doing this for the first time today. Just basic CSS type stuff, but it was still wild how easy it made everything.

1 - create a div with a gradient with colors #203731 and #465e58 going from bottom left to upper right
2 - Add a two pixel border with color #ffb612
3 - reverse the gradients on hover
4 - ease the gradient reverse
5 - add this image in the center of the div at 80% width [url.png]
6 - on hover increase image size to 100%

Just simple ass CSS but it spit the whole thing out in about a minute total.

Yeah, the other day I needed to grab dates from within a ton of pdfs. Took a couple of tries, but got a python script, edited it and was able to complete that part of the task in like 20 min.

For those who work fully remote, what are some of your tips in general? Tips on how to stay focused, tips on things you need to buy in the office, etc. I got an offer for a new gig that’s full remote and I never have been save for a month during Covid before my office went back to in person.

I've been remote for 4 years now (I go to the office maybe once a month).

Even though I have no set hours I try to keep a regular schedule. I'm not starting at 7 one day and 9 the next day.

Have a dedicated work space/office if you can. Ideally a room where you can shut the door if there are other people home.

A quality chair is essential. I always had a home office but once I started full time WFH I bought a high quality chair. I don't remember what I paid for it. I got it at either Office Max or Office Depot. A few spots on the arms have some wear and tear but otherwise it's still going strong and most importantly it's comfortable.

It definitely requires some discipline, especially in the summer.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

Your coworkers will appreciate it if you get a quality headset/microphone. I've had many meetings derailed by someone with atrocious audio.

I have a dedicated office, which helps. I'd encourage you to at least try to find a dedicated desk, if nothing else.

I try to stick to my watch's notifications to stand hourly. If I'm on a call, I go off video for a few minutes and just get up and stretch/walk around the room. I otherwise get up to go get water, bathroom break, snack, whatever.

I also try to set real office hours for myself, because it's easy to let work bleed into non-work hours.

I work entirely from my desktop, because I just can't be bothered to work on our laptops all day. But at least get yourself a couple monitors if you have to use an assigned laptop.
