BigO wrote:I promised I wouldn't get into another full-blown Bobby discussion, but to make it short:
1) The narrative that he has been abysmal is just another false narrative that repetition has transformed into fact.
2) Below are his playoff numbers. They are not as good as the regular season, because most players numbers drop during the playoffs. That's why scores are usually much lower.
3) His rebounding has remained very good in the playoffs. It's his three point shooting that dropped significantly.
4) I like Bobby as a scoring and rebounding spark off the bench. I don't like him having to start, which he will probably have to do today and has had to do in many of his playoff appearances.

Let's go series by series, shall we?
First off, his playoffs with the Bulls doesn't matter, considering that was the best shooting series of his career, his numbers are worse than you show.
Second:
During two non-competitive first round series for the Bucks (vs Miami in '21 and vs Chicago in '22) Bobby played wonderfully.
vs Miami he shot 58/46/75 and averaged 11/6 with a 70%TS and 14.5 TREB%.
vs Chicago he shot 46/36/58 and averaged 11 pts/11 rebs, 55% TS and 23.9 TREB%
Now, how about the competitive series?
vs Brooklyn: 33%/0%/0% (2FTA, 0-4 3PA), 3pts/4reb per game in the 4 games he played. 32%TS and 13.5TREB%
vs ATL: 47/26/71, 12.5 pts 6.5 rebs (not bad) 53%TS and 15.4 TREB%
vs Phoenix: 43/44/100 7.7 pts 4 rebs .55% TS and 14.5%TREB
vs Boston in 22: 40/23/92, 9.9 pts, 9.0 rebs .481 TS% and 18.7TREB%
vs Miami in 23: 48/28/100, 9.6 pts 8.2 rebs .567 TS% and 22.0 TREB%
His regular seasons with the Bucks he's averaged 17.7 TREB%. I guess he's close to that in competitive series.
