I actually think on this version of the team we really need him and it would be a real loss which is something I never thought I'd be saying about Milwaukee Buck Pat Bev in the year 2024.

He's the coach on the floor needed. Just like PJ was.

Yeah, agent talked to him about talking to med staff if there's anyway to tape the wrist up & play through it. Agent :"it ain't over til its over, baby".

Hopefully he'll be good. Said he's taking some time to get right though.

Ugh, don't know how he's gonna "play through it" if it's his shooting hand. Not the end of the world, but this just puts so much more pressure on Pat, Beasley, and AJ to be consistent playoff rotation guys.

Yeah seems like he's going to take some time and then try to play through it?

AJ should be playing. Doc needs to give him burn. Could've helped down the stretch.

AJ isn't bad on defense.

He can't be Beasley, which is fine.

What he can be is the ideal version of what we wanted Grayson to be. Less volume but higher percentage and potential better defensively. He's not the athlete Grayson is but has better instincts on the ball and positions himself much better.

ETA: I don't want to mince words. I much prefer Grayson to Beasley for this team so this is a compliment to AJ

That absolutely sucks. Gut punch with how much energy and, frankly, culture he was bringing when on the floor.

But yeah, people have been traded MID GAME. What are the Bucks supposed to do? Ask him if it's ok and then meanwhile Miami or whoever is getting Dame?

Edit: Ok I just read that you posted the exact same thing. LOL... Anywho, everybody missed that in the discussions about the trade and Dame etc.....

I'll believe Jrue walking away from 9-figures when I see it. I think the more likely scenario is they didn't want to pay a 34-year-old Jrue max extension money when he was coming off a disastrous playoff stretch,

This offseason Jrue has a player option at $39 million a year.

My guess is that he will ask and get from the Celtics a 3/$100 million contract. And if the Celtics don't offer that, he will get that money (or more) from another team this summer.

Interestingly, this season he is the Celtic's highest paid player at $36 million. Next year Jaylen Brown's extension kicks in at $49.7 million, and he will take the honors.

They have Tatum on a bargain deal at the moment. $32 this year, $34 next year, then a player option at $37 million.

Dame and Lopez both expire after next season. I don't know what you get for them but if/when we fall short again this year there's no way we run it back. Could be an interesting summer.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

Dame has a $65m player option in 2026-27? (And guaranteed 2025-26)?

Isn't this not true with Dame? I thought he's under contract through 2025/2026 with a player option through 2026/2027 and Spotrac presents it weird.

Yeah you guys are right, I misread. Next year he's at $48.7, 25-26 he's at $54.3 (estimate based on cap) and 26-27 he has a player option at $58.6 according to Spotrac. Hoopshype has slightly different numbers. Brook is expiring at $23 million. Khris, Pat and Bobby all have player options for 25-26 so technically they could be expiring. Khris will pick up the option, Pat probably too. Bobby will be looking for an extension I would guess, rather than playing for $13.2 in 25-26.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.
