Ron Swanson wrote:It could be worse. We could be any of the teams we beat on our way to a title (Phoenix, Miami, Brooklyn, Atlanta).

Look at all the pieces of that team:
Booker - can't win with Beal and Durant
Paul - shell of his former self who got traded twice
Monty - working on a buyout in year one of the biggest contract in NBA coaching history
Craig - throwing oops to himself/Drummond
Ayton - sleeping on air mattresses

KD is going to go down as one of the best basket getters ever and have one of the strangest legacies.

It almost feels like he was a top 13 player of all time at age 30 and his legacy, if somehow possible, regressed after that.

Games of interest tonight:

Memphis at Cleveland - Cavs sitting at #5 (tied with Magic but Magic have tiebreaker). They are 1 out of #3 and 2 out of #2. They could also fall a spot or 2. Should be a win for the Cavs

Dallas at Miami (ESPN) - Heat went to double OT last night and had 4 starters go 40+. Heat sit at #8, half game behind the Sixers for #7, 1.5 behind Indy for #6. They cannot drop. Dallas is pretty locked into #5. 2 games behind #4, 2 games ahead of #6. They also played last night but it was a blowout. Even so Kyrie played 37 and Luka played 35.

Minnesota at Denver (ESPN) - HUGE game. Tie for #1, one game ahead of #3 OKC. Minnesota leads the series 2-1. They win tonight they have the tiebreaker with Denver. If they split 2-2 I don't know who has the tiebreaker.

Suns at Clippers - B2B rematch, the Clippers humiliated the Suns in Phoenix last night. Clippers are virtually locked into #4, they may rest guys. Big game for the Suns though, they are at #7, one game behind the Pelicans. No one wants to be in a playin game.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

It's kind of funny seeing Silver scold a player on sports betting when he's the one that opened the gambling flood gates. Can't watch ten seconds of NBA without some type of gambling ad popping up in your face. Porter isn't without blame, but just a goofy situation.

Get why but man that is kind of insane money for a high end role player. They haven't even experienced playoff Jrue yet.

That was always part of the equation no one talks about in the Dame trade. We would have had to give him that contract if we kept him.

Who has the worst contract right now: Dame midds or jrue

Yeah he's not $28 million a year better than Pat Bev, not even close.
