Round 1 Game 2: Pacers at Bucks - 4/23/24 - 7:30 - NBATV/BSWI

;

In game 1 the Pacers came in cocky and overconfident. They handled us in the regular season. Giannis out. Easy win they thought.

Playoff experience is a thing. We have it, they don't. That said, no one expects a repeat of game 1. This will be much closer. If they are going to swarm and face guard Dame, others need to step up. Khris did last game, so did Bobby. I loved that the first half of quarters 2 and 4, with Dame out, we played great. I don't expect Hali to have another pube game. But if Siakim wants to dominate the ball, have at it.

Giannis, as expected, is doubtful and will not play.

Gus Johnson on the call for NBATV. I'm not sure why Marques wasn't on game 1, he's always done the playoffs before. Hope everything is ok Marques.

LET's GO!!!

Who would have thought when we acquired Bev he'd start and play 37 min like that an a game 1 and we wallop them. His team attitude, unselfishness and willingness to do anything it takes really changed our team..

Would be huge if we could take this one.
I know it’s much derided but Indy scored well below their expected amount in game 1 according to shot quality stats.

They’re gonna come out hard so we can’t have one of those egg nights we’ve consistently put up this year. Foot needs to be firmly on the throat.

Get a W here and all the pressure is on them for games 3 and 4. I need it.

14 offensive rebounds for Indy. Need to do better.

On the flip side Indy led the league with 30.8 assists per game and had only 20.

Think this one gets testy. Probably need to survive a better shooting performance from them. Hopefully Dame can play well both halves.

Dame wasn't getting credit for assists but he had a hand in many of our buckets.. the Brook slam for example.. that was Dame giving him the ball in space out and probably not getting an assist because he dribbled but his gravity and the ensuing chaos of said gravity was getting guys easier matchups and space to work

That was all dame and an awesome assist that's technically not an assist.

Dame gets double-teamed all game on this one. Let's hope that everyone else came to play. THey know that they can shut Dame down if they apply the pressure. We need to keep the ball moving. Less iso.

This is where Bev can be the maestro and keep khris and bobby and the rest involved.

Yeah I would greatly prefer if Dame just save his legs and let somebody else bring the ball up the court. Certainly in situations where it's transition our defensive rebound and they don't have time to swarm him that it's nice to see him get downhill and make a quick decision. But we really don't rely on that. We can pretty much set up pretty quick offense regardless.

It's wild how important Bev is to this team and he wasn't even here not long ago.

Massive glue guy. He's giving us a bunch of PJ with some bonus George Hill.

When the Bev trade happened, I was excited but said, "This is a great trade, but it won't be enough. It might have been enough if we were getting prime Pat Bev though." I admit, I had not watched him at all this year prior to signing him.

I had no idea we were getting prime Pat Bev.
