Would you guys trade Michael Redd for Iguodala?

Post#1 » by LongLiveHinkie » Sun May 18, 2008 6:15 am

I'm a Sixers fan and I'm just wondering if you'd do that deal. The Sixers need a better shooter at the 2 when Thaddeus Young moves to the 3 next season. Iguodala isn't the shooter Redd is, but has a well rounded game and is still very young.

Would you do it in a sign and trade?

in a heartbeat hell maybe even including the 7th pick, but they'd have to take a bad contract back in that

No way, Redd is a cornerstone player and elite scorer.

Yup. He is simply too elite. To even think about trading Redd they need to give us a good veteran and a great up and coming young player.

Yes, we would do this trade. But dude, you should edit your sig. Because well, it's pretty out of date.

Redd is the only one with an elite skill, and it isn't even close. Talk to me when Iguodala has won an Olympic gold medal like Redd has.

We'd all do this, although I'm not sure it would be a massive upgrade.

Depends on what AI needs for a contract. If he's getting a 6-year/$90mm deal in a sign and trade, then I don't do this.

Once again another bo-brainer and something we've discussed a million times.

Of course we would and I speak for all sane Bucks' fans! Iguodala wins!
Absolutely....

Yes he was exposed and lockdown in the playoffs when he could have really made some money with a better performance like Josh Smith in Atlanta...BUT AT LEAST HE GOT THERE!

He is a tougher and better all around player then Redd is. Passes, he defends, rebounds, shoots ok from long range and he leads well and
and is a WINNER!

That is what we need!

Hell, yes if I was GM he would be a guy I look at...for anyone on the Bucks' roster.

I agree. I'd definitely make this deal but I'm not sure the Sixers would.

hold on a sec though

what is he gonna get paid? would we rather have igoudala for the same amount as redd or would we rather try to move towards not having a max shooting guard?

Yeah I don't think the sixers do this anyways, but I think if the deal was to be done we'd have to get iggy to agree to something more like 6 years 60-65 million as opposed to max's deal.

Thats alot of money, but it would be worth it to build around iggy/bogut.

Also having a guy like iggy with some defensive presence in the backcourt could make Mo more of a valuable asset to keep.
