Bogut to the Wolves rumor on their board

Post#1 » by FutureBuck2008 » Fri May 23, 2008 7:01 pm

I edited this post because the topic at hand is on a Minnesota board thread at this link:

http://www.realgm.com/boards/viewtopic. ... sc&start=0

There is no Bogut to Denver rumor. The initial post was in error. It is a Minnesota rumor.

Bogut's the one guy on this roster that I would be upset over if he was traded.

How are the Nuggets going to send us the number 3 pick?

The #8 and Bogut? That is a ton to give up, and we don't get Melo?

No way Hammond sents Bogut and Westbrook/Love/Randolph/Gordon for a deal not involving Melo. And the Nuggets don't have #3.

Any link to this information?

That pretty much makes this guys source (i.e. himself) look like an idiot.

I think he needs to put the Coor's down and have a Miller High life instead.

Add melo and then maybe I'd do it. This draft does have some solid Centers, but it would take Melo to get Bogut IMO.

If the Nuggets are just taking Minny's #3 pick, I think we should take the Bulls' #1, draft Rose and call it a day.

You need a better source. Minnesota has the #3 pick. But I bet many people will read your thread after your headline.

Huh?

I see something on the Wolves board, nothing about the Nuggets though.

He got the teams wrong and meant the Twolves (actually the rumor says Denver is also interested the #3)

Some Minnesota fans thinks the #3 is worth Bogut and #8, since Brook Lopez is as good as Bogut. I say not so much.

As funny as it sounds to me, I don't think I'd trade AB straight up for the #3 pick.

It's clearly Minnesota, and the #8 doesn't come into the mix until fan speculation takes hold.

I agree. Bogut goes #3 in this draft without question. The fans who also want the #8 are funny.

How about this one?

karch34 wrote:I doubt it would happen, but I'd probably do Bogut, Villanueva, and #8 for Walker, #3, and other considerations (2nd rounders or Boston 1st).

Oh, yeah. I'm all over that if I'm Hammond.

Well I would not trade Bogut for the #3 pick in the draft. I would not even trade Bogut for Melo either.

Trading Bogut for a draft pick(s) unless it gets Rose doesn't make a lot sense to me. You either go the Celtics or Sonics route. Trade away older expensive assests to go young (sonics in the Ray Allen trade) or vice versa.

Why trade a relatively young guy (Bogut) who is hopefully coming into his own for a even younger guy with possibly a higher ceiling but not franchise player potential.
