TI: CV and Gadz To Memphis For Jaric and Crit?

Post#1 » by SlideRuleJockey » Wed Jul 2, 2008 8:35 pm

Assuming the Bucks can trade Mo for a good PF, would you do:

Milwaukee to Memphis:
Gadz
CV34

Memphis to Milwaukee
Marko Jaric
Javaris Crittenton

Salaries would match.

Gadz and Jaric are both bad contracts with three years left.

I do realize that we would have to wait to trade for Jaric, as he was just traded, but I am not sure for how long.

Memphis needs bigs, the bucks could settle their PG situation after Moe is dealt for PF.

Not a sexy trade, although I have always liked Crit. Jaric could take the pressure off of Sessions and Crit until they are ready.

Would a second round pick be needed? Which way? Thoughts?

No thanks.

Anyway, can we change the title so it doesn't appear as though this is a real trade?

Quick advice, when making a trade idea thread, say trade idea in the thread title. These kind of titles throw people off a little.

As for the trade, why bring in 2 point guards? Jaric and/or Crittenton wouldn't get any playing time. Plus, this trade couldn't happen until later in the off-season I think since Jaric just got traded.

He only wants Jaric here so his new wifey Adriana Lima can make appearances at the BC...Come to think of it, I think I'm on board with this deal too!!

No thanks. Critt doesn't really solve the PG problem as he has about as much experience as Sessions. Jaric would be a bad contract that wouldn't get any minutes. Gadz, until further notice, actually has a role on the team. He is currently the only backup center they have, and it appears they are going to see if Skiles can get him back to being the energy/rebounding/shot blocking guy he was a couple years ago. Someone has to play the 10 minutes or so at center when Bogut rests, and if they traded CV and Gadz, the next tallest player on the roster is Joe.

I don't see Joe playing center any, and I don't see Bogut playing 48 minutes a game.

If the Bucks are dealing with Memphis, it will be for Lowry.

Isn't Critt more of a SG in a PG's body anyways? I don't think it fits bringing in an inexperienced PG with our recent roster moves, if we want to go that route I'd be more comfortable with Sessions than anyone else.

Same here. I thought this actually happened when I first came on the site.
