Redd is just drilling 3's and playing great defense. This is what happens when Redd plays for a compentent Head Coach.

What's the coach have to do with it? Redd shoots every time he touches the ball, and guards scrubs who are barely NCAA caliber. I really don't think coach K has anything to do with Redd looking good.

This is a pretty good little team. Always love watching Michael play with great talent.

Barely NCAA caliber? Almost every player on the roster played in the NCAA.

I realize they aren't playing the best competition, but perhaps when Redd is drilling Spain or Greece or whoever, you'll let your Redd-hate subside just once.

There's no Redd hate going on here. I'm just correcting the ridiculous claim that Redd looked good tonight because of coaching. As if Stotts or Krystkowiak (or MBBOT for god's sake) couldn't have asked Redd to run to the corner and shoot every time he touches it, while guarding an NCAA player on the other end.

Redd shot very well, and plays an important role on team USA. But let's not use that as an opportunity to take shots at the Bucks coaches as if they're incompetent for not using Redd as a full-time spot up shooter.

Not to mention that line is a free throw for him. He looks good though.

Yes, I agree with you. As far as coaching goes, I think it was terrible. Sure they won by like 50 points, but the first half was sloppy as hell and if they continue to play like this then I don't expect them to beat Spain. They need to stop trying to impress the other team and fans in the arena and just play team basketball.

But Redd does very nicely in his role. He catches and shoots. That's it. But I don't remember him getting scored on this game

The FIBA 3 point line is about 3'3" closer than the NBA line from what I can tell from a little googling. Thats crazy. Its actually about 3" closer than the newly expanded 3 point line in the NCAA's for this upcoming season. Redd should be able to stand 3 ft back off of the line and get open shots from NBA range against the zones employed all day.

I didn't watch the game but for those of you who did, can you tell me how they were shooting the 3's? Were they toeing the line or standing back of it a few feet just to allow more spacing? I would think standing back a few feet if you have the range is the way to go for players like Redd.

I wouldn't use international play as an example of how Redd and the Bucks in general have suffered from poor coaching, but I hope there isn't an argument that the Bucks haven't suffered from very poor coaching and a revolving door on the bench
much respect to the 2011-2012 champions, Miami Heat, well deserved

In my opinion, people were standing about a foot back. Kobe took one three about 4 feet back and it was banked in.

I don't know if standing 3 feet back would help them that much. I don't know about you, but in high school I was a three point shooter. Something about just standing up on the line made it feel "right". We played in old gyms without 3 point lines just for practice and shooting in three point range didn't feel right becasue the line wasn't there.

I don't know if this is the same for NBA players, but Redd was taking his threes right on the line. Some of them I swear had to have been twos. But Paul or Wade or Melo were about a foot or two back.
