'I am the best player in the NBA' ?! are u effin kidding me? Did he really say that or is it my imagination? Somebody please pinch me cuz I must be dreamin...

Hes not even the best player on his team! How can u be the best player in the entire league and not even on ur team?

So does he mean that KG doesnt get any acknowledgement of being the better player EVERYONE knows he is?

Paul Pierce has been a punk his entire career but throw 2 desperate for a title superstars to him and suddenly HE'S the best player in the league?

KGs not even the BEST player in the league and he is WAY better than Pierce... Pierce is more on a Ray Allen level than KG... KG is up there w/ Lebron, Kobe, Duncan and Howard... Paul Pierce is a 2nd rate star at best with the likes of Tracy McGrady, Jason Kidd, Vince Carter and players of that calibur

Paul Pierce is a real jack ass if that statement is true... hopefully KG bitch slaps him when he hears about this 1! :lol:

Yeah Pierce will reach Kobe's hype levels. Kobe was the NBA's new Jordan marketing tool. Some people I guess didn't notice that he never panned out.

He was the best player in a Finals that included Kobe, so I guess he can talk trash for a few months. It's not like anyone believes him though.

pierce IS the best player on the celtics, not only was he finals mvp, but also the only celtic who showed up for game 5 in LA, ray and kg, were in uniform that night, but were no shows on the court, Pierce is the man in bean town! top 5 in the nba.....

Hey, the guy was Finals MVP and is a six time all-star. I'm not saying I think he's got much of an argument, but there's at least something to it. Enough that it's not ridiculous for him to have that kind of self-confidence -- which elite athletes need, by the way.

PP has always been a very good player. He maybe just a little behind Kobe, but Kobe is just a little behind MJ.

Kobe is a lot behind MJ. Jordan is 6-0 in Finals Series, he doesn't lose to the Celtics this year, no chance in hell.

Pierce has the best footwork of all the wing players in the NBA...

He's not the best in the NBA... He couldn't take his team anywhere prior to obtaining top level talent..
